Description
Some random, pretty bad drawn sketch I decided to color? Ah, ofc I could lineart or paint it, but I felt like I wanna just color sketch and do some weird experiment with SAI watercolors textures lolSo here it is, something really small for just because back then I wanted to sketch some winged cnine, so I did Daniel why not XD

Лёгкая акварельная текстура, мягкость переходов цвета, света и тени, интересный вариант с контровым освещением, выступающим и в качестве контуров рисунка. Динамика в позе, сама поза красивая, хотя туловище получилось длинноватым пожалуй. Крылья чудесные, такие перья, положение, отсветы на перьях. Особенно мне нравится как получилось освещение на основании ближнего крыла, на лопатке лапы, гриве и голове. Красота этого освещения, детали в нём видимые, выделяют композиционный центр. Очень приятный рисунок

Длинноватое туловище - частая проблема у меня, хотя больше это коротковатые ноги. Ну, я как-то пытаюсь это решать, но не всегда выходит х)

You have no idea how much I love the wings ＞ω＜!
The way the tips curl up and the front wing is stretching out to the camera, I feel like the perspective/foreshortening is done perfectly !! Also, I love how you separated the feathers with uncolored lines between them : D It looks so nice on black wings like his !! Also, somehow I really dig the way you have drawn the part where his wing connects with his shoulder and how it flows over into his neck/mane :> The highlights of the feathers there look really neat as well!
I think your drawing style also shines through very well here ;u; It’s very recognizable, and you’ve really become a pro in drawing wings in my opinion xD I wish I was able to draw them half as descent/correct as you did here ;u; You really made them look powerful enough to carry the rest of his body c:
And that sly expression on his face is equally awesome xD I love the detail of his eyes glowing! And that long, LONG swishy tail <3…
And last but not least, I agree with UnicornCat, the more transparent look of the wing and tail in the background make him feel like he truly is a big creature <3 I always loved artwork that had depth to it by fading parts in the color of the background c: I use it a lot too xD
Thank you so much dear, seeing Daniel drawn by others is always a joy to see ;u;…And for some reason people still prefer to go for his hardest to draw form with the horns, but it makes me happy to see people love that look :, D

Ahah, I enjoy draw wings so much X'D Actually, I do wings as another pair of arms, so I do all anatomy for it as well..its connected with body, not shoulders 
Oh nice to hear that my style looks recognisible X'D ! arely I try do a lot of elements, as many different artists do, so I didn;t think that it looks original... BUT it seems that I am not that person who can copy style, it always turns into something own X'D
Daniel monster form is just way too fun to draw, thats why I think <3 !

Oh that's indeed a smart way to think about wings ! Honestly I am very behind on learning about how wings function actually, gotta have to change that :,)
And it does! I have always spotted your work immediately from the thumbnail when checking deviations. It's not only the way you draw but also the way you color and your choice for color schemes that I recognize :>

Yeash, sounds cool for you to check wind anatomy, at least you need this for Daniel, since SHin's wings are more fancy thingies x3 ! Cause your animal anatomy is so good, wings just pop out from it sometimes, they are just another arms after all XD

Haha true! I see Shinri's wings more as an ornament rather than a very functional set of wings xD
I still can't decide what bird I want to base Daniel's wings on.. I love the wings of swans but they're too broad XD I also absolutely LOVE the shape of Shoebill wings as they are narrower yet they keep such a heavy bird up in the sky haha.

Really, the wings are gorgeous because of the perspective and the slightly bended feathers.
Also, I love the effect, that you have made the hind wing a little more transparent. Because of that, the animal looks bigger.

Ah i really LOVE drawing winged ferals - tryig to do them look powerful and strong, cause almost all big birds look really massive

I love drawing wings, too. Especially dragon wings because they can be varied. You can draw them big, tiny, thin...
and I don´t like drawings these tons of feathers haha ^^
