Remember kids, a paradox can really bugger up your mind. Don't do it.
If no one knows already the theory is that if you go back in time and kill your own grandfather then you won't exist, however if you do kill him then you wouldn't have existed to kill him in the first place, thus it would become a paradox.

This paradox would be nullified if you did something really disgusting... All you need to do to know what it is is watch Futurama Season 3 Episode 19.

If you go back in time and kill your grandfather, you would cease to exist. But then, if you didn't exist, how could you have gone back in time and killed your grandfather? So, if you didn't go back and kill him, you would still exist. Uhh... uhm... Then you probably would go back and kill him again... T_T

I actually suspect that if you were travel back in time and killed your grandfather that you may still exist. It is just that should you return to the future it would be different like another universe. Not parallel, just different from the one you came from.
