One of the reasons that Antz and A Bug’s Life are nearly not the same in terms of plot is that Antz was about a distraught worker ant wanting to do more in his life within an overbearing society, whereas Bugs was about a misfit ant wanting to save his colony from being taken advantage by vicious grasshoppers.
BTW Saberspark admitted that he thought Antz was better but then felt that it was just being too competitive for its own good
