Description
Material used: color pencils (Derwent, Lyra and others), markers (Pro Marker), fineliners, white gel pen, eraser. Edited a little bit with Gimp.- This is a commission for . Characters belong to him
I just drew new clothes for them.- I have been practicing chibis recently. You'll probably have to wait until next month to see them though

I tried to color one of my draws with color pencils once ...when I finished it was so bad that I burn the color pencils haha !
I supouse that you need to keep the point really sharp so you can draw using lines ...the markers are good to the parts you want to have more contrast ...but you need special markes or the colors wont mix between them . ...right???

Yeah, it's good to keep them sharp when coloring small parts. For large areas I like to use more dull pencils but it doesn't always look good. I use Pro Markers and they look quite good when mixed with other shades and also with color pencils

I´ve heard of those Copic markers before , most of japanese mangakas use those for colouring but here in Cuba it´s imposible to get them or anything similar ...Im a profesional "mangaka" haha! but I draw with a ball pen in any paper I can find , then I scan it and do the colors on digital ...using SAI and a mause (I dont have a tablet)...so Im very impress with your colouring tecnic ...even if there are people better then you ...your skills are amazing so ...you can be proud of yourself !!!
If I could draw as good as you do ...but I still need a lot of practise ...

Yea..Cuba it´s an interesting place, love the sea,
..but I don´t have the means to buy those from internet ..and even if do it ...they are expensive right ??? I have to finance my art first ...´cuz the money of my work goes entierly to my house !!!
I already have some works I´m going to submit this mondey or tuesday ...they are all in paper so I have to go to a place to scan !! Then I´ll use those to make somethings in digital !!! as I told you I dont have a tablet haha ..so I need at least the lines !!!

Woah, I guess you have very different price levels there. Here you'll get 10 dollars per hour if it's a crappy part time job (like the ones I have done).
If you'll get commissions through Deviantart or something that would be great for you then

Yea ...salaries are really bad in here ...to buy my computer (a really bad one , only 256 mb of grafics memory) I had to work in a really bad place, I left that job ´cuz I got too injureed and I couldn´t draw ... my left arm got broken in accidents two times in that job ...before of that ...like 3 years ago when I was in college I had a deviantart account arman2mangaka.deviantart.com (check it out ! 3 years has pass so I´m better now) but I forgot my password so I had to make this new account !!!...in that time I use to do commission and I usually got 30 dollars a week ..that was really good money for me ...I think that the ioncomes of our contries are really diferent..but prices are really high for cubans !...
but I guess I shouldn´t be talking of this ...it could be borring for you

Yeah, the salaries are very different but everything else is also very expensive here, like rents.
And no problem, it's always interesting to hear about different places and countries from the people who live there

Thank you very much ...but I feel realy bad for my coloring !! I mean ...the colors are right but ´cuz I use a mause I have to blur them so I can´t define the strokes like I want ..or put freedom and spirit into them ..but thanks anyway !!! it makes me really happy !!!
So as I told you before I´m participating in a contest of comic !!! but I have some doubts with some of my ideas, specially the reaction of the female public to them ...I don´t know were is the diference between fun and pervert for the girls of other countries (I´ve never get out of this countrie) so if it´s not too much trouble ...could I send you a note with some of my ideas so you could give me your opinion??? I really need the help !!
