Description
A view of the bay infront of the city in St. Maarten. Usually up to 4 big cruise ships can dock unto the pier to offload thousands of tourists per day. Here in this picture there is only once because I was on the island in low season...and that means less tourists as well.Related content

Hysterical! My girlfriends and I stayed in the Bel Air Beach Hotel not long after a big hurricane in '99. That new set of condos was barely open and a lot of them were still not finished so we sneaked over to the "deserted" beach at night and went skinny dipping! I have very fond memories of our trip to St.Maarten /St. Martin. Always enjoy your beautiful photos!

Shame that you had to stay after a hurricane, but then it was quite and free of tourists so you probably had less of a hassle of getting things to do.
Funny you went skinny dipping, glad you found your own way of having fun and thanks for looking at my photos. I still have more to upload from St. Maarten and then I'm going to switch back to pictures of Holland, my current residence.

you're right. Aruba is more like a desert with a flat terrain, but I'm sure Aruba has other charms that st. maarten doesnt have.
