This was a commission for a friend I did a while ago and never put up. I hadn't really drawn hyenas before. They're pretty impressive creatures.I think staring at animals through bars in zoos makes us forget what these animals are actually like in the wild, the true spirit of them.
They lose a lot of their power when confined, power you can really only see on film or in a painting, or by going to find them in the wild yourself.
