Thanks. I got this nickname when I was little. I loved pressing buttons so my family members started calling me 'Nickybuttons', now I use it for everything from my Steam account to Deviantart. On an unrelated note I just realized that a lot of my favorite characters across various forms of media share the shorter version of my name. Kind of an odd coincidence.

Most of the time whenever I think about writing a story or coming up with a character I try to make them very different from me. Mostly because it avoids the scenario where I end up making a character similar to myself into the hero who saves the day, it allows me to be a lot more creative with personality and backstory, and it makes everyone feel a lot more natural and unique. So for the most part my characters may have some connection to me, but it's a lot less noticeable. I'm also particularly fond of sentient machines and AI's, however most of the characters I come up with aren't mechanical.

I don't watch anime too much but my younger sister watches Fairy Tale and Soul Eater. It makes me realize how annoying it must be whenever I shove things like Star Wars trivia in her face when she does the same to me with Soul Eater. Every anime she knows she was introduced to by my cousin whom watches Fairy Tale, Soul Eater, and Sword Art Online. She is also thinking about starting Attack on Titan but has been a bit discouraged by how much more violent and gritty it is compared to most of the stuff she watches. Aside from that she still enjoys a lot of the stuff I do like Steven Universe and Gravity Falls. She even really liked Zootopia, albeit she isn't as overly obsessed with it as I am.

Me, my cousin (that same one), and my sister all thought up 'Gemsonas' for fun a long time ago. I've also heard a lot about Miraculous Ladybug but haven't seen it... all this talk about my favorite shows and stuff has made me realize that I need to update some things on my profile. I'm not really too into drawing, I'll do some really bad pixel art every once and a while but for the most part I've come to terms that I have no real artistic ability. I do enjoy writing sometimes but I've kind of realized that I also fail horribly in that department. Most of the characters I do think up are either just in my head, in one of the poor attempts at writing I make, or in some other form of media.
