Oh surely, but IMO, innocence is a state of mind. If one is guiltless and can believe the best of others and the world, one has retained the ability to be innocent. It's only when shame and cynicism and fear has permanently stained a person's mind that the capacity for innocence is lost.
Thankfully, I have so far retained mine- I do nothing I would be ashamed of, and I believe in the benevolence of the universe and the innate goodness of strangers.
