Personality:

Barrel is energetic and outgoing. Like her mother, she loves making friends and has a talent for getting on ponies' good sides. She's also strong, hardworking, and isn't afraid of a challenge. Despite all of her positive traits, she has a poor self image.

Background:

Ever since she was little, Barrel has admired her father's work as a rodeo clown. It led to her own interest in the sport which both Troubleshoes and Pinkie Pie fully supported. However, instead of becoming a rodeo clown like her father, she found that she had some serious talent actually participating as a contestant. Pinkie Pie sent her daughter Applejack's way and, with her guidance, Barrel has become quite the competitor. When Barrel is not attending rodeos, she works part time at Sweet Apple Acres. It was through this part time job that she befriended Applejack's son, Apple Trend. Making friends comes easily enough to Barrel and she has a lot of them, but her best friend is Lullaby Song. They hang out frequently and often look after Barrel's little sister, S'more, together. Though she considers her life to be pretty perfect, there is one aspect of it that Barrel has her doubts about. Because of her large size, she does secretly worry that she's not appealing romantically.

Notes:

She is rather strong. She can beat out most ponies in contests that require physical strength. The only pony she hasn't been able to match yet is Applejack.

She was picked on by a colt when she was little regarding her size. The colt had a crush on her but, of course, she didn't realize that. She also had a crush on him though so hearing him say those things ended up doing a lot of harm to her psyche.

Her hat was given to her by her dad when she was little. She almost always wears it.

Pinkie Pie has never shied away from encouraging her daughter. Barrel can always count on her to be in the stands cheering her on at the top of her lungs. Barrel loves her mom dearly.

Troubleshoes

Barrel is daddy's little girl. She looks up to him and participates in rodeos because he was always a big part of them. He makes her laugh with his antics as a rodeo clown and she's convinced he's the best one that will ever exist.

S'more

A happy, energetic bundle of crazy, S'more can be a little hard to handle. Barrel is up for the task most of the time, but sometimes it's easier to recruit Lullaby Song for some extra help. Barrel is a good, responsible sister but keeping track of S'more is pretty impossible.

Apple Trend

After taking a part time job at Sweet Apple Acres, Barrel befriended Trend. They bonded over their shared size issues as she's big for a mare and he's small for a stallion. They have been hanging out together ever since.

Lullaby Song

Thanks to Pinkie Pie's influence, Barrel was able to see past Lullaby's dead eyed stare and befriend her. They've been best friends ever since and spend a lot of time together. Often, Barrel will drag along her little sister or Apple Trend too. Lullaby never minds.

Applejack

Barrel has learned a lot from Applejack and has the utmost respect for her. Since Applejack has served as her mentor and employer, Barrel has grown pretty close to the whole Apple family. In fact, through all this interaction, Barrel has basically become part of the family herself.
