Personality:

Quiet and withdrawn, Igneous generally keeps to himself. Among friends though, Igneous is thoughtful and can be playful. He's also very perceptive, which helps him figure out what his friends need from him at any given time.

Background:

Igneous is perceptive. He can pick up on small details and uses those to make judgements. In a way, this trait has become a bit of curse for him. Though most ponies are kind to him, he can tell that a lot of them are also a bit wary of him. He never points this out though and just continues being as nonthreatening as possible in the hopes that they'll come around eventually. This usually works, but the fact that it happens so often does get to Igneous a bit. That's why meeting S'more was so refreshing. His cousin was genuinely happy to meet him without a shred of hesitation despite his looks. They became fast friends and Igneous treasures her from the bottom of his heart.

Notes:

He was almost named Boulder II, after Maud's pet rock, but the Twilight and the others (with the exception of Pinkie Pie who thought it was a great name) talked Maud out of it. Instead, she named her son Igneous after her father.

Messing with S'more is the easiest way to get on Igneous' bad side.

Igneous tends to keep to himself because he knows he makes other ponies uncomfortable.

Igneous has heterochromia. One eye is red, the other teal.

Igneous enjoys his father's tricks as long as they aren't hurting anyone and actually keeps his dad in check by expressing disappointment when Discord has crossed a line. Igneous is actually kind of the responsible adult in their dynamic.

Maud Pie

She doesn't really show it on her face, but Maud loves her son and he loves her in return. He's become quite perceptive because of her and can figure out her emotions based on subtle ques that most ponies can't pick up on.

S'more

She's a little strange, but Igneous finds S'more's antics a lot of fun. Unlike with his dad though, he doesn't put a stop to her activities. (Discord doesn't always appreciate the double standard) Igneous has become her partner in crime over the years. He also appreciates that she genuinely doesn't care that he's a draconequus.

Velvet Fashion

Igneous isn't really sure what to make of her yet, but he's trying to get along with her since S'more keeps inviting her to play. The way she seems to get a bit unsettled by his presence bothers him a bit though.

Lullaby Song

Song is like Igneous' second mother. However, Song shows him much more overt affection than Maud. It can be a bit overbearing, but Igneous deals with it like a trooper. She sings for him upon occasionally and he really likes her voice.
