I’m back from Dragon*Con, completely exhausted, sore all over, but missing it already. I forgot how much I love that place. Hopefully I’ll be able to go next year!The Dark Souls / Bloodborne meet-up was a huge success. I met so many awesome people with crazy epic costumes, like this Faraam armor, crafted my my friend Jeanette and modeled by her husband Jose. And my new friend Kyle is seriously a photography wizard. His skills are incredible.

I'm actually thinking of making myself Faraam set...although kinda curious...how much did the armor cost?

I didn't make the Faraam armor, so I don't know how much that cost, but the black knight armor was probably several hundred dollars and over a hundred hours of work. However, I used somewhat expensive materials, worbla, real chainmail, etc. If you used eva foam instead, that would probably cut the cost substantially.

Yeah true, course I blame the fact that I'm used to wearing movie quality armor, but going all out is fun isn't it?

It definitely is. That's why I pay the extra money for high quality materials
(Although I have seen movie quality armor/props made out of cheap materials, like paper and foam, but it takes a lot more work.)

Agreed. Course some of the fun is finding authentic materials/gear as well. Might not look as good per se, but hey, it's the real deal now eh?
