Description
A litter of seven kittens were born in the Bagge barnhouse a month ago. The villains knew about the kittens, but they didn't want to do anything about them. Not that they have no heart, they just didn't care. Only Courage cared about the kittens. He'd visit them everyday to check on them. Sometimes he'd even play with them. For weeks, Courage had been their only playmate.

[The villains were searching for Cajun Fox, who had been missing since this morning.]

Big Toe: *groans* Uugh, where is that fox?!

Little Toe #2: Yeah, we've looked everywhere!

Black Puddle Queen: *shrugs shoulders* He probably went to the store.

[A familiar laugh was heard from the barnhouse. A sharp kitten cry was also heard. The villains turn around in shock]

Le Quack: He obviously isn't at the store...

[The villains went to check inside the barnhouse. They found Cajun Fox lying in a haybale with kittens crawling all over him. The villains and Courage all looked at each other in confusion.]

Cajun Fox: *laughing* Stop it, y'all are killin' me! *laughs harder as he cuddles the kittens*

Katz, Le Quack, Courage, Black Puddle Queen, Big Toe: Cajun Fox?!

Big Toe: Wow, what a sissy! I thought he was tougher than this!

Le Quack: Out of all the strong bad guys in Nowhere, he just plays with kittens.

Katz: I thought you were planning to cook those kittens for dinner, Fox.

Cajun Fox: What, no! I ain't eatin' any kittens for dinner! You were just misunderstandin', Red.

Black Puddle Queen: Katz, aren't you a cat yourself?

Katz: Well, there's a difference between a real cat and a- Oh, what the heck.

Cajun Fox: So, fellas! Do you wanna play with these kittens with me? I already named them myself!

Katz: *sighs* Oh, boy....

Cajun Fox: Jambalaya, Cupcake, Custard, Madeleine, Rosemary, Andouille, and Olive Oil-

Katz: Sorry to interrupt, but aren't you supposed to be helping around the farm like everyone else?

Cajun Fox: Velvet cake, I need a break once in a while.. *giggles as one of the kittens bats at his tail*

Katz: *rolls his eyes in annoyance* C'mon, gentlemen and lady, let's continue our business.

[Everyone else exited the barnhouse, leaving Courage alone with Cajun Fox. Courage walked over and sat next to him.]

Courage: *whimpers* Are you sure you're not going to eat these kittens? I can tell you're lying.....

Cajun Fox: *shakes his head* Oh, no, no, no, Dog. I already told ya, I'm not going to eat them. Have I made myself clear?

Courage: *nods his head*

Cajun Fox: Now, I have a little favor for ya.... *Courage gulps nervously* Play with the kittens with me, I'm lonely.

[Courage was reluctant at first, since that same fox had tried to kill him before. It might've seemed that the fox was tricking him, but he really wasn't. Cajun Fox was one of the few villains that at least cared about Courage. Unlike all the other villains, he just wanted someone to hang out with him. Not that he's truly a good guy, he still had his evil moments like that time he stole Muriel for his "Granny Stew". Even villains crave company. What would've Katz been like without his spider companions? What would've Courage been like without the villains living with him after Muriel and Eustace's deaths? Sometimes friends and foes can get along just fine.]

Courage: *smiles as he picked up one of the kittens* *The kitten starts purring happily*

Cajun Fox: Aw, she likes you. *smiles*

Courage: *giggles*

Meanwhile...

[Big Toe and Le Quack were planting vegetables in the garden. Weremole was in the background chasing the mother cat.]

Big Toe: Eh, I'm pretty sure Fox was hit in the head hard with a mallet...

Le Quack: [watering the cabbage] Wait, you mean he took my mallet and hit himself with it? That's funny! Huhuhuhu...

Big Toe: Uh huh, what's what I thought...

Little Toes: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!

OK, I really enjoy reading the old Tumblr AU, "Villains As Caretakers". It's just an amazing series.. The stories are stellar and feel like as if it's an spinoff of CTCD. Cajun Fox, Black Puddle Queen, Le Quack, Bunny, Kitty, and Hunchback also get more attention in the stories. The budding relationship between Black Puddle Queen and Hunchback is cute.

Anyway...
