Description Guys, I am beyond devastated and irritable right now. My childhood cat peacefully passed away last night in his sleep... he was nearly 18-years old!   And I thought Stephen Hillenburg's death was excruciatingly depressing enough. When it's your own pet who's been around since your early childhood, it's even sadder and harder to deal with. Not only that, I've also experienced some behavioral problems between my family and I. There are times when I feel like a bratty 3-year old because of how I act (crying hysterically, throwing myself on the floor, and feeling the need to scream). I cannot believe how quickly the death process went; he was fine a few weeks ago, but now he's probably lying unconscious on my sister's bed. We are not considering getting rid of the cat supplies. We will stow them in the basement in case we were to get another cat (which I've been already begging for). I've never been really punished enough during my childhood (my parents spoil us rotten), so I have a hard time accepting that it will be a while before we get another cat. Luckily, I am more than old enough to volunteer at the animal shelter, so I can get my cat fix once or twice a week! I've always wanted to get some experience fostering some kittens as I show more maternal instincts for animals than I do for human babies. It depends on the dog (I'm indifferent toward them), but cats will always be my favorite XD Even if I do get a kitten for my birthday or Christmas or whenever, there is nothing that will replace my childhood cat. Nothing.

Rest In Piece, Elvis

June 2005 - January 22nd, 2023

By the way, I'm not a fan of my dog, but I included him anyway. His name is Samuel Jackson "Sam" and he is about 11-years old. He is a Pomeranian, so his barking is high-pitched and shrill, which hurts my ears. Luckily, he is quiet and just wants nothing more to do than to sleep and receive attention. He's like a Labrador trapped inside of a Pomeranian's body. Too bad his bark is irritating. My neighbors' dogs are even worse (they were literally outside barking at nothing the night my cat passed away). They make my dog look like a saint. At least my dog doesn't always bark when he's outside (plus he never barks at things outside the window). Unfortunately, he too has health problems and probably won't live much longer (he most likely will live about 2-4 more years, given his age). He's had seizures in the past and has occasional leg problems. Thankfully, he is fine for now. I don't necessarily like him, but at least he's in good health. He actually isn't as obnoxious as most little dogs, who are constantly barking at random things and being needy.

If you're wondering about the cat on the left, that's my sister's cat, Arya. She's almost 6-years old and is just as friendly as Elvis, but takes time to warm up to people. She's also pretty fiesty and adventurous. She's also just as vocal as Elvis was. I remember being jealous of her when my sister first got her, but I eventually warmed up to her, even if we don't interact much. At least she's still around I might have to visit often if she wants to get used to my presence.
