Description
So Heres my New Species!! aaaaAAAh I've been thinking about these cuties for a while now and like iM SO HAPPY TH eY ar E SO CUTE OMGPlease Know that the traits these ponies have are not exclusive! If you wanna make a Pony with cloud tail do it, or if they have a trait I listed go for it!! I just don't want people using the traits i have listed on their traits guide all together in the combination I have.
So species Information!!!
Weather Cloud Ponies
Weather Cloud Ponies are a sub-species of Pegasus ponies that are even more so in tune with the weather! These ponies are so closely connected to the weather, that their mane and tails are actually clouds! Weather Cloud Ponies have their own weather patterns and can manipulate the weather and its severity.
Weather Cloud Ponies are born as earth ponies, with the ability to walk on clouds. The reason being because they gain their wings during a Coming of Age ceremony, Where their eyes finally open and the proud parents present their foals with a puff of cloud, which is placed right where their wings would be. After a small ritual and offering, The Foals Parents present their child with one last gift, and that is a small puff from their mane/tail which is to be mixed with the cloud placed on their backs. This combined gives the foals their wings.
Cloud Ponies are known to live for many years, the oldest living one being nearly 150 years old. These Ponies stand the test of time, as they help out by bringing Weather to areas that pegasai cannot get to. These Ponies live in secrecy however, as they fear that one day their existence will be found out, and they will no longer be able to provide the lands with Weather.
Body Types/Traits
Ears:
Weather Ponies all have long soft ears that are fluffy on the sides. Ears are a lot more narrow then average pony ears. (Think short Bunny ears!)
Mane/Tails
Weather Ponies Manes/Tails are made up of actual Clouds, But not even normal Pegasai can touch/hold their Hair. Only Other Cloud Ponies can hold onto others Cloud Hair.
Wings:
Weather Ponies wings are actually covered in soft down feathers, as they never molt. While their wings might not seem like they'd be great for flying, these ponies are able to fly incredibly well. Male Weather Ponies actually tend to have smaller wings, While Females have larger ones.
Body/Patterns:
Weather Ponies are super soft and fluffy, and while normal ponies cannot touch their tails and mane (Since it's made of clouds) That doesnt stop them from being naturally fluffy themselves! Their coats are usually a lot longer and softer, so they tend to have super fluffy patches on them, usually around the feet, chest, ears, and back.
Patterns are common throughout this species, but are not required, as everypony is made differently. Their Pallets however are usually on the softer side, so any super saturated colours are not permitted!
Cloud Types:
Cloud types vary from pony to pony, as this decides what kind of weather they can produce. These are assigned during their coming of age ceremony. The main types of Weather Cloud types are:
Rain Ponies
Ponies who's tails only produce Rain. Their cloud tails never touch the ground and rain never is able to make it to the ground. Their tails are usually mid body level or higher, but some have been known to be lower.
-Tier 1:
Rainy
This Clouds weather is usually a light drizzle to a regular rain shower. They never produce Thunder or Lightning, but the rain can occasionally stop if the pony is calm enough.
-Tier 2:
Heavy Rain/Tsunami
This Clouds weather is most often heavy to extreme rains, and can cause major issues if the Pony themselves is in a rage. While for these ponies, their clouds never stop raining, They can get their clouds to produce much less rain if they have good control over themselves. These ponies like to make friends with Drought ponies as they usually balance each other out.
Windy Ponies
Ponies who's tails produce winds. Their cloud tails never touch the ground and are usually at body level.
-Tier 1
Windy
This Clouds weather is most often a soft natural breeze, and at it's most extreme can carry small objects and or animals. Their winds can range in temperature too, as certain ponies can control the heat or coldness of the winds.
-Tier 2
Tornado
This Clouds weather is usually a high speed area of winds, simulating a small tornado. Tornado tails are able to pic up heavier objects such as small to medium rocks and can easily trap in small animals such as birds and lizards.
Lightning Ponies
Ponies who's tails produce Lightning. Their Lightning never touches down, but if other Ponies aren't careful, the can get shocked. Tier 1 Lightnings aren't harmful, But Tier 2 Ponies MUST be careful as their Lightning is a lot more powerful.
-Tier 1
Lightning
This Clouds weather is usually a small bolt of lightning that occasionally strikes. Their Lightning, mentioned previously, is practically harmless, and can range from a static shock to a zap from a tazer.
-Tier 2
Lightning and Thunder
This Clouds weather is usually a combination of Lightning and Thunder. The also get the occasional rainfall, but that is very rare, and not many Tier 2's can manage lightning, thunder and rainfall. Their lightning is a lot more powerful and can cause a lot of damage to those who aren't careful. Thankfully, Most of these Cloud ponies can control when their lightning strikes. That being said, I'd still advise against going anywhere near them when they're angry.
Sunny Ponies
Ponies who's tails produce light and heat. These Ponies must go on a journey for their sun crystal, as they are not naturally born with them. This is an extra step in their coming of age ceremony. The crystals can be any colour, but must be able to produce light and heat.
-Tier 1
Sunny
This Clouds weather is usually akin to a nice and bright day. Their crystals are able to produce varying degrees of heat and light. The heat they get from the crystal is close to a normal space heater, and the closer a pony gets the hotter it gets. The light that comes from the crystal is a soft glow that isn't all to noticeable during the day. At night, the light it emits a soft light, like a night light, only slightly brighter.
-Tier 2
Drought
This Clouds weather is more so like a hot dessert on a cloudless afternoon. The heat and light these ponies crystals give off is intense and if ponies aren't careful, they can hurt themselves from the heat. Tier Sunnies are also known as Drought Ponies. Their Light's are very bright and are noticeable in the daytime and can keep other ponies up at night if they're in the same room. Their lights can be seen from up to 50 feet away in the night, and up to tree times that at night if their light is bright enough. These ponies like to make friends with Tsunami ponies as they usually balance each other out.
Snowy Ponies
Ponies who's tails produce snow. These ponies can only exist in colder temperatures. Snow Ponies can handle heat but only for so long, as Heat will harm them a lot more then regular ponies. Snow Cloud Ponies make a journey every 8-9 months to the nearest snowy mountain/area to re-energize, and will travel back home.
-Tier 1
Snow
This Clouds weather is most often a soft gentle snowfall. These ponies are often freezing to the touch, and their clouds are even colder. These ponies can't stand to live in the heat for too long and get get heat stroke very easily.
-Tier 2
Hail
This Clouds weather ranges from a harsh snowfall to Hail the size of medium sized pebbles. These ponies can live in the heat longer, as their bodies give off a natural cold. None the less, they can only last a couple days in warm/hot areas before having to return to their homes/clouds. Tier 1 Snow ponies usually hang around Hail Ponies as they provide them with the cold needed to live in hotter temperatures.
Personality Types
Personality types depend on the type of Weather Cloud the pony is. Please Know that this is just the basis of their personality. These don't mean that you can't make Rain ponies happy or Snow Ponies angry balls of hate. Just know that this is a part of their personality and their neutral expressions.
Rain Ponies are usually very neutral. They like to be at peace, and can occasionally be deadpan.
Windy Ponies are very mischievous and have a bunch of energy.
Lightning Ponies are calm and collected since any slight lose of control and they can hurt others without intending to with their Lightning.
Sunny Ponies are (To everyone's surprise) Very Light and bubbly. They find new things everyday and love to express how they feel.
Snowy Ponies are usually very sleepy ponies. They tend not to talk a lot and are slow moving.
Living Arrangements
Weather Cloud Ponies live inside their assigned cloud types. So for example, Lightning Ponies live inside Lightning Clouds while Windy Ponies live in Fast moving Clouds (Since they are carried by the wind)
Weather Clouds usually pick a cloud and that cloud is theirs for life. Their cloud will change hues slightly to match it's new owner.
Breeding
Weather Cloud Ponies are able to breed, but only with other cloud ponies. They are only able to have one child every few years, and the gender of the parents doesn't mater as breeding is a lot more different for Weather Clouds.
For two Weather Cloud Ponies to have a child, They must take small parts of their Clouds and mix them together. The foal will usually gain the older ponies cloud typing, but coat colour/pattern, mane and tail colours are randomized.
A more Detailed and Example driven Breeding Guide May/will be posted in the future!
Weather Cloud Ponies are a CLOSED SPECIES made by Me, SilverBoy27
You DO NOT have permission to make these. If you want one talk to me and we can work out a price. (Trust me these things are decently priced okay)

honestly a couple days, but ive had the idea ever since I made this oc back in january
it took forever though since other people had already made 'cloud ponies" and "actual cloud ponies" so I needed to come up with something to make mine a bit different . 3.
