i can't stand pulling an entire long mane, it just ends up soooo thin afterwards. I'm rather lazy with my mare so her mane is permenantly 2 inches longer then it should be for an eventer.

I don't think my mare would LET me pull hers... she had some rather brutal 'tidying' done to her before we bought her

lol i agree. They can look really sharp at the beginning of the day but once a horse starts moving their head around it can deteriorate really quickly.
