A half completed pic I drew for some jackass a long time ago. The guy slapped a "megaman X6" title on it and spread the rumor that it was official art, so I guess it's kinda imfamous.I never really took credit for it for fear it would hurt my name, but enough time's passed I think, that nobody really cares anymore.

would it be alright if i use this picture in my new megaman fan game i am making? zero will be evil in it and i think this would make it look very cool! (the game is in very early production so it will be a few years) i will give credit!

I recognize this. Sigma had a cloak exactly like Zero's here. Everything points at Sigma, from the arm to the cloak- only with Zero.

Rumour or no, this is incredible! I can understand why someone could mistake this for official art (though the real Nightmare Zero was pink...hmm). Sorry about what that fellow did with it though...

More firlmy put, this does not look like the one i've seen, that one had that "capcop" flavour I love so much, this one seems like something out of a flash from newgrounds and he's missing the shadows and textures on the cape, you also forgot to paint the hole in it
Showing the PSD would help little since it's easy to draw over the pic with layers. The lines are crummy, the eyes got a weird effect, gradient perhaps? (where's the foot?)
There's no textures either, am pretty sure I remember some kind of texture feeling and shadows on the cape at least.
All in all, I still believe this is a copy. =/

It's so funny how people still pick this apart! Just look at the older versions and you'll see that the X6 logo obscured the cape hole and the foot. It was also at a smaller resolution to hide the roughness of the lines.
It doesn't really bother me if you believe it or not, because I have no reason to claim otherwise or anything to gain from it. Just thought people should know. Believe what you will.

I'm pretty careless too if it's yours or not, am just saying that the other one had the capcom feel to it, this one looks like cheap flash pic to me, and no matter if it's obscuring, why did you deliver an unfinished pic to the jackass, why was it unfinished where the logo was?
It raises the question on my side, since the logo was in the way, did you have to draw the foot on your own and it didn't go well?
It's suspicious that the "unfinished" touches are the ones around/behind the logo.

I put the logo there basically because I didn't want to finish it and thought it would be a quick fix. Pretty simple really. Just look at the original pic, it's the same.

I put the logo on there. Look, I know what I drew (and quite a few longstanding people in the MM fan community can back those claims up), but I'm not really going to argue about it. You obviously don't believe it and I'm not going to try to convince you.

I'm wondering, the picture I kept seeing was whole diffrent style, more capcom style, so he either improved it then slapped on the text or this was drawn off?
You're missing a foot I think, and the "original" one I've seen was much better, cape, helmet, everything, this one's not...

I'm a bit wary on if you did draw this or not. Although it's possible, I'd like to know if you have any evidence. A file with the work in progress or anything like that, something that shows it in peices during its creation.
If you did make it, then damn. It fooled me too. I had thought that it was official art (In fact, now that I think about it, the style is very slightly different from Capcom's normal style, and there was no Zero with a cloak in X6 so why would they have official art of a non-existant version of Zero?)

Haha, you're not the first person to be skeptical. I should probably post the unflattened PSD so people can see the different layers I made it in. I refrenced the american cover of MMX5's Zero for coloring on it, which is what I think made i more convincing than the art it's self.

That probably would do it for most people.
For me, moments after I put up my comment I realized a few things (Which I had posted in my initial comment, too, haha). It's more likely that this isn't official, given the fact that not only would Capcom not put a peice of art like that out, but there have been no versions of Zero (Save for in Megaman Zero 2) that have had a cloak. On top of that all, that was claimed to be Nightmare Zero, but Nightmare Zero was purple.

This pic looks all right but there is nothing to it. It's not an action pose, there isn't even a face on it, and ninety percent of Zero is covered in that cloak. Saying it looks official doesn't make it all that great in a case like this.

lol, I think you definitely have the skills (or skillz?) to do official art. Better than official art, in fact. If you don't sell or make art professionally, you should, because you're definitely a good enough artist to make a decent amount of money on your work.
