Description
Once I was wholecomplete.
Once I had a voice
to speak.
Now all I do is whisper
and hide
a wraith
a ghost
all that I was
has died.
Do not look for me
tomorrow.
There is no warranty
for in a moment
I may fade
away
as was always meant to be.
Once I lived and breathed
now, I'm a memory.
Just waiting till
all that was
lets go
so I can vanish
and be free.
I do not long for what
was.
It is beyond my concern
and care.
I only long to go
and be at peace
for no one dared
to cling
in ways that
mattered
to what I
wanted
needed
or had to say
I was always
second choice
last place
and soon
even that will
be gone from here.
All that remains
is mourning.
All that was is gone.
Only this shadow
cast still
upon this sad
dead world.
Sun will set
and darkness
will fall
and all that was
will be gone.
For only this fragment
remained
to carry
on and on.
All I know is sorrow
all I feel is despair
no tiny speck of hope
remains in a long
dead heart
and nothing
left truly
cares
so
time will
come and pass
and the hour
will be mine
to finally take
a long rest
and fade
into dream.
Let go
say goodbye
all that is left
to do.
Let go
of this echo
and seaming
form.
For soon
it shall be
no more.
