Description
I dream of fey thingsdancing on the sea
I dream of wisps, and sprites
flitting on the clouds
through eternity.
I see so many things
born of myth and
fantasy
when I close my eyes
to look
a different
reality.
Look over there
and see dragons
stalk through
the shadows
of the trees.
Glance over
your shoulder
and perceive,
just for a moment
with me
of those things
between waking
and sleep
trapped
in our minds
except--
when we dream.
Come see
the wonders
come see
the joy
embrace the
myth and madness
of a child's story
for just one
moment
kindly
see like me.

wow... i see things like that too... and i can't even call it day dreaming cos i'm alive with the vision... maybe things should not just be 'seen', but lived with..

wow. i love it. the idea is absolutely amazing. you work the idea so well. the only thing that bothers me(one writer to another) is the line that you say trapped except when we dream---it seems a little repetitive... or maybe it just needs rephrasing or interesting punctuation. the little ee cummings inside of me tells me that this would also look really cool with some crazy spacing and punctuation. cuz i can tell youre already doing it a little-like when you separated trapped to make it stand out. but seriously. i LOVE this poem. its beautiful in ideas and imagery and flow. and now ive left my extremely long comment.
