Description
The cause was just so they saidso to war you marched ahead.
Brave and true, loyal too
a soldier was your lot.
It matters not your nation
only that your courage did prevail
and a war was ended, and you did not fail.
You gave your life so nobly, for the people
you adore. For the mother country, and thy
native shore. You slogged through mud
and stalked the battlefields, as gunfire
did abound, and slowly with great valor
you took your enemies down.
Soldier so true, to your land
so far away. You died, but once, a brave
mans death, so that freedom and justice would
stay. You were a mighty hero, of your native land.
One life gone, so that many more can live on
and that makes you the greatest to have on hand.
We mourn your loss, each and every one.
Yet know you chose this life, and your cause
was won.
To you who nameless stood, when tyrants
and terror rose.
You are our Orion, our true hero to this day.
No words will ever truly hold to the glory,
honor, and honest life led bold. Of you.
Soldier.
When all is said and told
we know how great your soul.
