Reading her resume, Quinn would appear like any other goblin. Dabbling in engineering and alchemy, she was a hard worker, a bit scatterbrained, but smart and dedicated. She was hired without a question into the Engine City's newly formed maintenance crew, with a loosely defined five years contract and access to a lab and workshop to better help improve and repair the great machine work of the walking capital city.

The thing Quinn didn't explained in her resume is that she had, like many other goblin, a bit of an obsessive side... an addiction even. Normally, that was something any Great Engineer could manage, it was expected in fact, but in her case, it wasn't as simple. Handling her was going to be a nightmare, both for her direct managers, and the goblin resource department. If only they included a few more closes in her contract...

Rules are made to be broken right? That's a common saying, everyone says that. But then they start adding buts ; but only if it helps to further the Engine City's interest... but only with moderation... but not the laws of nature... but you still have to keep a shirt on.

What's their problem? I tell you what, they are only jealous because I got something they don't have. I got a goal, and I am not letting some boorish technocrats or coworkers telling me what I can or cannot do. They keep bothering me with those pesky safety concerns and nonsense about distracting colleagues, or fricking uniform regulations. Don't care, not in my contract!

Oh, I cannot work inside the steam vents anymore? Whatever, just send someone else, it's not like I am the only engineer! Oh, you think it takes me too much time to get to my work station? My contract says that displacement is included in the work shift, stupid! Anyways, it's their fault if everything inside this Engine City is so damn cramped, with so many stairs and all. Ugh, and don't mention those goddamn elevators. That three goblins limit is complete and utter false advertising. They can barely handle me and the operator! These guys are so bad at maths.

So yeah, I have been working part time on a new growth formula during my off hours, as permitted by my contract, I insist on that point. I am really trying to find a way to make the growth more focused. I keep having less than 50% biomass accumulating in the targeted areas, and that's absolutely not going to work if I use it for the long run.

For the moment, I can manage most of the side effects with metabolism enhancers and injected stimulants, but I am really getting a little pudgy, and that's not what I was aiming for. I can't risk my tum overshadowing my precious, glorious, amazingly massive melons, ever! I just need them to keep growing slowly until I find the right potion to go explosive on this one. Ugh, but it's so hard to microdose.

I guess I gotta get used to the fat bits for now. On a good note, all those longshanks can see is my cavernous wobbling cleavage and my bum, no tummy in sight from above! That's already something, but I am not going to impress any goblin with my giant tiddies if I have a fat belly sticking out under it. Misery... Maybe I should have a little sip to cheer me up?
