Description
Inspired by the Yogscast's series: Hole Diggers - Episode 32.Honeydew was exploring the Deep Dark and discovered that in that hostile place, even the shadows were out to get you. He ended up getting pretty dramatically consumed..
They brushed it off pretty quickly in the series, but my mind started wandering and this is the result. Enjoy!

I don't really follow Hole Diggers... But I might go through and watch it all the way to the latest episode because this sounds interesting. HMMMM...

Most of it is just Jaffa Factory -type factory building with not much progress being made, but there are a few good episodes, especially when they start building a portal to the Deep Dark (episodes 30-32).
The rest of it is just building and hilarious mishaps, as usual.

That would explain why they found no dwarfs. They've all succumbed to some sort of a curse, and have been turned into shadows themselves. They found one of their own, and in their efforts to reach out to him doomed him as well.

Well, it seems that the fandom furiously latches onto anything even remotely funny/dramatic. ;D
That's the downside of being in a creative one - your mind goes into overdrive whenever something like this happens, and so does everyone else's.

Yup. And then charts/maps are made and plots constructed - only to have to redo them once a new detail emerges.
But that's the fun part, I guess. ^_^ You always have new stuff to talk about and theorize on.

At which point it gets even worse as fans run off with their ideas, haha. Some headcanons are absurd, some are funny, some are downright brilliant - but I love all of them, as they showcase lots of creativity and love for the characters in question. ^_^

Indeed it is. xD I contemplated adding him into the picture, but it wouldn't have quite worked with the whole theme of it. Maybe some other time..
