Description This is my newly acquired vintage video camera that I picked up at my local swapmeet $12 in near mint and working condition, not bad in my book. The lenses are clear as day along with a smooth operating turret. However I'm kind of curious about this Electric Eye since its mechanically powered by a wound up spring. The only bad thing about it is the slightly peeling vinyl. I need to find some 8mm film and put it use one day.

I may not know much about cars but old devices like this in such good condition are the best

That's quite alright lol, and indeed it is, the lenses and mechanical wind up work flawlessly. Aside from the slightly peeling vinyl its virtually flawless!

I would if it wasn't so expensive to buy and develop! These were only good for about 1 minute or 2 of film usage at BEST. I'm not sure about still shots.

You should save change for a while and get enough for one recording and record something neat, then you can say you did it!

Sweet find! If you can find any 8mm, you ought to get some footage of your plymouth!

Sure is! I have found a shop but its a tad far away, and the traffic there is going to be nightmare. Someday I'll get around to buying some film. Hey that's the plan! haha Also if I move the lever up I get a single "click" and reel movement. Though I'm not sure if this had the ability to film and take still shots. *shrugs*

Sounds cool. Maybe you could contact the shop and have them ship it to you?

I really don't have the money for that kind of thing, its pretty pricy at this Los Angeles camera shop. I barely have enough to fix my own car you know?

I have a small vintage movie camera collection myself, 2 Kodak brownies, one Bell & Howell one-nine, and another Bell and Howell from the late 30's or so The brownies work great, but I can't get the B&Hs to work at all.
