Description I know what you're all thinking! She's made another stinking orb! Well this is a special orb haha.

Some say that it was created by a mad man. Others believe it is a trap sent from hell. All that is known for sure about it is indestructible as tested by a nuclear device.

My Metroid fanboyism is screaming "Omega cannon, Omega cannon!" but I think this is beyond my silly fan-ish-ness. You know that, this would be awsome for a custom bowling ball! And is it just me or is there something inside the orange sphere?

There's nothing inside the sphere

pyroasta In reply to silverspire29 [2008-11-05 02:05:05 +0000 UTC]

i know the program, but what shapes do you use? it can't only be a sphere.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

silverspire29 In reply to pyroasta [2008-11-05 02:09:13 +0000 UTC]

I used tori (torus) and a sphere. I used boolean operations so you cant tell that I used them.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

pyroasta In reply to silverspire29 [2008-11-05 02:12:12 +0000 UTC]

where can i find tori?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

silverspire29 In reply to pyroasta [2008-11-05 02:20:34 +0000 UTC]

It's a shape. It's like a donut.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

pyroasta In reply to silverspire29 [2008-11-05 02:27:36 +0000 UTC]

so it's the ring? how do you get it to do that?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

silverspire29 In reply to pyroasta [2008-11-05 02:28:51 +0000 UTC]

Using boolean operations. Basically objects can cut lines out of each other.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

pyroasta In reply to silverspire29 [2008-11-05 02:45:15 +0000 UTC]

can you teach me how to do it?

thanks for tutorial. is there a way to color the individual parts?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

silverspire29 In reply to pyroasta [2008-11-05 04:24:40 +0000 UTC]

Yes there is. You can click on the object then click the arrow to the right of edit and choose materials from there. To select multiple items shift+click at the same time. And you can use ctrl+click to select from a group of objects if they are hard to click on. Just click near the object you want to select. Hope this helps!

do i do this before or after i group them?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

silverspire29 In reply to pyroasta [2008-11-05 04:43:54 +0000 UTC]

I would do it after you group them. It's easier to choose your final outcome.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

pyroasta In reply to silverspire29 [2008-11-05 04:48:22 +0000 UTC]

every time i click something the entire thing is selected. what do i do?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

silverspire29 In reply to pyroasta [2008-11-05 04:49:40 +0000 UTC]

Try shift clicking on a shape. Or at the bottom right of the screen there will be a bunch of buttons. If you click the torus shape it will select all of the tori. Same with spheres.
