Boas scare me. All the ones I know are mean.
I do love pythons though. I might buy one from my teacher (everyone in class know he's mine anyways <3)

Pythons... except for ball pythons, tend to be more aggressive than boas. Our two boas are snuggle love-muffins.

Yeah, the snake I want is a ball python. We have red tailed boas, and they are big and try to eat people. But I think that's my teachers fault...

Isn't she a pretty girl? I wish I had a good photo that included her tail - it's so red and wonderful. She's *tries to remember* three years or so?? She's grown so much since we got her as a little bug-eyed, big headed, scrawny snakeling. ^_^

Boas make spectacular pets if the proper research is done ahead of time - I hate to see snakes put into homes that haven't done the work before hand and end up suffering from it.
All three of our snakes have very different personalities. Our six foot boa tends to not like attention as much as our other two, but I think a lot of that is because she has some health problems (we got her when she was already an adult and didn't have a very good health past and we've been battling it ever since) Impy, the one in the picture is such a sweet heart. She LOVES to be rubbed and pet, especially under her chin. It's so adorable. Lil' Snakey is a bull snake that we caught in our backyard (my brother in-law almost ran it over with a lawnmower) He can be a little feisty at times, but that's just his species. He also likes chin scritches.
Ball pythons are also a popular snake - especially for first time snake owners because they only get around 4 ft long and are really mellow -unlike other python species that may get up to 14-20 ft and have iffy temperaments.
There's also corn snakes and milk snakes that I don't know much about but they're really super cute!

Three. Two boas and a bull snake. Impy's my favorite of the three though.
