ok, so, before i rant, i want to clarify I DONT MEAN EVERY RUNAWAY GUYS FANGIRL, JUST THE PROMINENT ONES WHO HAVE PISSED ME OFF!ahem, now that thats out of the way.
i am moderately offended by some things people do with there RunawayGuys fanfic. even without ProtonConroy (a ship involving yaoi between Chuggaaconroy and ProtonJon), people are still pretty annoying about what they write. ive seen some legit stuff too, but i hate it when people put there own self-inserts in a story about the runaway guys, especially if they start to ship themselves with them. i dont mind it so much if the insert is interesting, but more often than not, i want them to get out of the way so i can read about someone im actually a fan of. i also really hate OC girlfriends for them, be them self inserts or not. this bit is just my opinion though.
this is mostly about ProtonConroy, i just felt like address the other issues i had while i was it. point is, its wrong to ship real people you dont actually know, be it with someone they know, an OC, or a self insert.

I don't mind yaoi parings with fictional characters, but I feel like people go overboard when they ship actual people....but I guess people just have their own opinions

And for the record, you can't just say something is wrong and decide what others can and can't write about, anybody can write anything they want, it's called fanfiction for a reason. I understand that it is sort of wrong to make others do things they wouldn't normally do, but it's not like I don't understand that they will never be a couple. I just don't want others to hate on those who still like it for fun.

true, but normally there only after fictional characters. heck even i have created by fair share of crackships. you'd think they'd have some respect for real people, though.

Like I've said in this fanclub before, I don't think the fans actually ship the real life people. They ship ProtonJonxChuggaaconroy, not Jonathan WheelerxEmiliano Rodolfo Rosales-Birou. It's important to take account the difference between an internet persona and a real life person behind one. I personally don't have a problem with it as long as the fans don't go overboard.
I'd like to think it's more of a crack pairing than anything, so I'm not sure why people are so angry over it. If it's not your thing, then just ignore it and move on.
I do agree with the point about annoying OCs. I've never liked them - and more often than not, a TRG fanfiction will have these. I would like to see more fics involving just the actual people instead of focusing on self-insert characters I don't care about. This is just my personal opinion, however.

I'm going to make it clear before I go into this subject, I DO support a Let's Player shipping, but it's NOT ProtonConroy. I admit, it's actually NintendoCapriSun and Lucahjin. Am I a weird, crazy fangirl if I support that?
Anyways, I have to agree with you with ProtonConroy. I don't understand how a simple hug, can lead to ALL of this madness. Just, HOW is the question. It's called friendship people. Me and my friends at school hug each other once and a while (Well, more of wrapping one arm around the person) but it doesn't mean I'm going to be in any romantic relationships with them. Why is it different with them? I always have to put (Not a romantic hug, just a brotherly hug) in my stories when any of the guys hug just in case some fangirl looks at the story and thinks wrong! D:
To all the fangirls out there who somehow support this stuff:
OK, dear sisters O mine, let me tell you clear, and loud. The chance of Jon and Emile actually getting together, is less than 1, maybe even 0. Why? Cause they're friends. Not boyfriends, FRIENDS. Best friends? I completely understand. Anything higher than that? NO. Just *insert Chuggaaconroy no here*. Also, they've been doing TRG for over a YEAR now. If they did have that "love spark" in them, wouldn't it be already settled now? And, to top it all off, Jon has a girlfriend. So 9999.9999/10000, he's straight. Emile? Well, I dunno about him since he's not in any romantic relationships with anyone yet, but most likely, Emile has the same chance of Jon in being straight. So it's very close to impossible that they'd never be together.
So, instead of spending your time typing up ProtonConroy stories or drawing art of them, make stories of them being friends, saving some mystery maiden, working together as a team, or just plain having fun. Draw art of some funny moment of theirs or make pictures of them just being friends. Just let your creative juices flow, and have fun with it! : )

Seriously! -_- They're real people, not toys! It's not just Let's Players, it's also singers in bands (Today, I stumbled across a yaoi fic between two singers in Coldplay on dA, and one of them is MARRIED to a woman...), and even people like Jon Stewart and Colbert! At least nobody's drawn naked art of ProtonConroy, though. That would be terrible. But even the fics are disgusting. I think that any art/fanfiction involving real people should have nobody ever paired with anyone, unless they're actually dating (or maybe like if they're a guy and a girl and they're like bffs, but even then) in real life.
