I haven't even seen the whole show and I immediately knew what this absolute villain would be

This is a follow-up to this :

And I had the thought that, since Yugi and Atem form a much more "little brother and big brother" sibling-style relationship in this AU

What if Badkura and Bakura's relationship paralleled an abusive controlling family member and their victim

So yeah

Badkura full-on abuses Bakura

If Yugi and Atem's bond is symbiotic, then Badkura and Bakura's "bond" is parasitic

He doesn't care about the fragile little human acting as a mask/transportation service for his destructive Yami (that's the name of the alien species) self

He full-on rips Bakura's arm off when Bakura warns Yugi to run right before Badkura tries to ambush him to get the Puzzle

And Bakura is very not okay

The black hole thing is especially fitting since the Ring helps people find things, and nothing can escape a black hole

So Ad Astra Badkura has quite a lot of predatory-animal/hunter theming
