Description Another Oekaki picture. This one is of Azula from the Avatar TV show. The definition of nemesis says "anyone or anything that seems inevitably to defeat or frustrate one." Now that's perfect for the title!

I tried to get that interesting expression that she has....sort of a combination between a sneer and a come hither look.

Lordy-lu, I just love your stuff! That's it! I'm watching you!

I love the way her hair is falling and the color variation in it; her clothing in general (fabulous job there); the way her hand is curled--the fire and lightening effects! Sweet! Just too good!

I DO like how you shaded her, but I am a tad curious how you decided to let the shadows fall in relation to the ligtening in her hand there. I would think it would light up more or her face and it seems she has a very light mask playing around her eyes...

Otherwise, utterly superb. Yet ANOTHER fav to add to the collection. No surprise there!

Thank you, Thank you! However, you are right about the lighting being off. I first drew her with just normal flames in front, then had the thought that she likes to throw blue flames/lightning around. So, added the blue flames, at which time her face should have picked up a blue hue. By then I had corrected a background with ghost images (3 times), and a hand that looked like an octopus?? (until it looked right). This picture was taking way too long, and the thought of redrawing her face again, made me want to cry! So I thought maybe no one will notice. Ha! Other problems are due to the fact that I haven't yet mastered shading with Shi-Painter Pro.

Haha, well you could always say you caught Azula when her flames had turned the normal yellow and orange...Hmm, I was just thinking that more of Azula's face would have been lit up, considering how close her fire-hand was to her face. (Honestly, I had to look kind of close to see the shadow play, and I was looking close in the first place to pull one of these: Because it is such an AWESOME dev!!! I know you put so much effort into it, which is why I love your artwork!

*giggles insanely at octopus hand* Now that would be a way to frighten your foes! Eee! I would be uber upset to have to redraw things myself, so I would understand how disheartening that feels.

Eh? I am unfamiliar with Shi-Painter Pro. *duh* I'm sure you would be lightyears ahead of me at any rate, shading or otherwise. *hides her gallery from view* But good luck with your endeavors and if you do learn--teach me!

Shi-Painter Pro is what AvatarSpirit.net uses in their oekaki gallery. I've done all my Avatar pictures there, and then uploaded them here. I've got Photoshop on my PC, but tend to get mired in tiny details. At the oekaki site, one has to adopt to lower definition and a time limit. This is good for me. Now it's taking days to finish a picture, instead of months.

I've seen your gallery. I think that it's great, and that you show a lot of promise as an artist!

Ah, no wonder I hadn't heard of it. Oekaki would not be my strong point. *sheepish smile* You have some serious skill and I'm so glad you decide to upload on this site as well! (I can't really keep up with all the oekaki ones either, heh) I have yet to experiment coloring with photoshop, but I do finally have the program! Yay! But taking months to complete a project isn't that appealing, especially to one of procastinating breed.

Ack, my gallery could use some more color (but thank you so much for your kindness! ). The few I DID do in color were in Paint (sucks!). Now if only I could get time and inspiration to work on some older devs...I could always draw off my "Avatar highs" from you!

Thanks! I tried doing them a new way. The shape was fine, but the color was off. Pink highlights??? Had to change the color, and then they were OK.
