It's so beautiful!!!!! I love the design!!!

Did you named it Marais because it's the French version of ''Swamp''?

y e s I'm glad you caught that! I'm learning french and italian so I can't help but name characters after words in other languages, in fact my character Chaleur also has a french name, and Fuoco has an italian name (fire) lmao

Cool! I liked naming my OCs in others languages ... But I guess most of my OCs have a different language names (English), for me, cause I'm French (Canadian)...

Like I should name exemple: Maple= Γ‰rable, but I prefer the English word.

Haha, Quebec is so cool to me (I had the feeling you were french canadian haha), I really wish I was born somewhere so that I could learn a different language... I REALLY want to be a polyglot which is hard when you live in america :,) I personally find english to be a rather ugly and inconsistant language but it does have interesting parts to it. I love the french language but my favorite is definitely italian, cause that's where my family is from also they don't have 3295347 million unnecessary letters like french lolΒ

Yea Im a proud French Canadian who speaks French and English and a bit Spanish because of school andthatIwilltotallyforgetwhenillfinishhighschoolxD.

Tbh, I will stick with 3 languages..... Spanish should be easy for me cause it's a bit like French, but I'm not good in Spanish..........

Yeah, we sure do have many unecessary letters xD.

Like the longest French word,Β Anticonstitutionnellement, could shoten to Anticonstitusionelemen, a bit shorter.... but again, too long

I'm getting my italian citizenship so I'm gonna move there after uni for a few years to get fluent :> i'm very much a beginner at french but once I get better, would it be too much to ask for me to practice with you a bit? I plan to learn spanish eventually as well, after french and italian after that I'll learn german probably

Cool

You can ask me any times!! (IDK why, but I like translating English words to French for people xD)

After you learn French, it will be easy to learn Spanish if you are a easy learner/fast learner (not like meh).

It's oki

Yeah, when I wrote my comment, the fact that you are italian/learning italian (I dont remember..) bounced out of my head.

It's the same for me when I see a English text of French text that I see, I just want to like erase the error and correct it.

i'm technically italian but I wasn't born there or anything, just learning the language ^ ^ I do have lots of family over there though, that I've met and really want to talk to. They don't speak any English, so its kinda hard to communicate. I have a friend that lives in italy and is a 'native' speaker of italian that I talk to. Technically they were born in belgium but still, they've lived there most of their life. :> do you prefer french or english? On behalf of many native english speakers, we think your language is very pretty, and the accent of french and Quebecois (?) people is very pretty

What do you think of american accents in french? English accents in other languages tend to sound pretty awful from what I've heard

Yeah....... when I hear an English person trying to talk French..... uh.... it's disturbing... because they dont know how to say it proprely...

Also, check this:Β

to be fair native french speakers don't pronounce english words right at all either but at least it sounds pretty hahaha
english is just........... not good... I try to eliminate my accent completely when speaking italian or french

Well, I'm I'm talking English and I know that a word came out wrong, I try to says it correctly... without knowing how to say it proprely....

Well, do you sound good when you are speaking French or Italian?

when a word comes out wrong, I try to say it correctly* ^ ^
I think my french is mediocre??? my italian is pretty good from what my family has told me, but I'm sure I still make lots of pronunciation errors
italian at least has a consistent pronunciation pattern... english is all over the place (SORRY TO EVERYONE LEARNING ENGLISH) afafdfadfla

Good

Btw, is it difficult for an English person to learn French? Because for me...... English is really easy, thx to cartoons and books.

I think English is easier for me.... because I'm not the best in French, like at the structure, word classes, etc...... But I'm good in grammar...

I hate that things have a gender, honestly (same with italian) and the grammar just seems bizzare... I wouldn't say its hard to learn, but its certainly time consuming and the pronunciation sure is something haha
