Description
I'm like buttah, 'cause I'm on a roll lol Really getting used to Daz and LOVING what I can do with it despite the limited resources at the moment. This one is another one of my wrestling characters and her brother/tag team partner. You all know Angelica Grim, but you don't know her brother Alexei. He's played by my fiance, , (and very well I might add). Both Brits and one hell of a team when paired against whoever is unfortunately put in that position. The story of this one is pretty simple... just the two of them in the ring, probably about to cut a promo since I don't have the right content yet to put them in ring gear (having a hard time finding bondage pants and mesh tops for her).
His hair is supposed to be white and usually he's hairless like an Olympic swimmer, but like I said, I lack the content to make completely accurate renditions right now. I really was just trying to play with the lighting and prop combinations with this one.
The background was a google searched image (WWE Monday Night Raw set, courtesy of WWE.com) and the ring and both Angelica and Alexei's hair are from Renderosity.com. Alexei's pants were part of the Apollo Maximus package. Everything else was Daz3d.com
As usual, all c/c welcome. Enjoy.

Really good work! Don't know anything about Daz but I'm impressed. Maybe I've watched DMC cutscenes a bit too much but I think the guy resembles Dante a bit...

He does a bit. The character was actually created before I started my DMC addiction. Originally he was supposed to have brown hair, but his father's hair is white so we went with a bishie approach for him... short white hair, ice blue eyes. Yeah... I guess DMC3 Dante works well here lol

While not ENTIRELY accurate, understandably, this just BLOWS MY MIND! I can't even BEGIN to praise this enough, hon! Truly just... wow... absolutely remarkable.
It ACTUALLY makes me MISS that damned game! LOL

I am looking at it right now online and don't really understand a thing about it. I don't even know where to start but I want to try. Any pointers? I mean, if I download it, I will not have a clue what to do or even exactly what is does.

Best advice I can tell you is 1) Take it slow. It's overwhelming definitely. 2) Tutorials are your friend. On the Daz site, I looked up adding content. That the hardest thing to do I've found so far. 3) Don't be afraid to play/try things out. A lot of what I've managed to do is trial and error, especially with the posing part of it. Third party content like stuff from Renderosity.com is a bit more involved when it comes to adding it to the master program, but once you do, just play around with it. I can't count how many times I've had to use the undo buttons when doing stuff.
One other tip I can give you, that might help you out right off the bat, when you select things, use the Scene menu. It lists everything individually and when you try to apply morphs and mats/skins to things, making sure you have the right object selected is VERY handy.

Ok, I am going to try it. I think I told you I am getting Poser in a couple of months..a $99 version I found in Blick art catalogue. I don't know what is all included. Can the programs be used together, or should I just wait until my Poser comes in and work with it only? ( I am a TOTAL 3D noobie)

Daz is actually a free download. That's what I use. You can get it from daz3d.com and you get can get some free starter content from the site once you download it.
I've tried Poser and it's a bit more complicated. I would probably try Daz first just to get a general idea of things then go for that Poser.
To my understanding, the content for Poser can be used with Daz, but I'm not sure about vice versa. Haven't tried that yet. Daz is the more simple of the two programs though.

Ahh well, that will work out fine then. I will download Daz and I am getting Poser sometime this fall. Heh, I am bound to have a ton more questions to you. I will try some tutorials online and see if I can find some on Youtube also. If you have any favorites to share with a total noob, please do and thanks for your help so far!
