Well, if you want to get scientific, the maned wolf is a species of fox. But I think it looks very much like a maned wolf, very good piece. ^-^

Late comment I know, but maned wolves aren't related to foxes.

It has its own genus, true, but its closest relatives are in fact South American foxes.

Its closest (currently living) relatives are actually Bush Dogs, and even then they're not that close o.O Maned wolves are a unique canid of their own. They really don't have any similarities with foxes other than being.... red. And canids. But so are dingos, coyotes, and certain dogs and wolves.

Oh, I forgot to mention, Dholes are red canids too, but still, no relation.
