A color version of my OC Ninja Rover, Maru the Tosa/Tora Inu, facing off 's Samurai Rover, Tsunami. Maru's wooden sword, bokken, vs. Tsumami's steel samurai sword (say that 5 times fast. Come on, I dare you! Especially if you're in alibary).
was the one who said I should color this in, though I had my doubts for it, with the size and shape of the fingers with the length and position of the arms. He also gave the advice to use a Bamboo forest for the setting, though it was my idea to have a thicket as the place where Maru would dangle from above.
I also decided to use my DR Uniforms in a colored test piece, in order to see if that actually look good or not. I can't really say now, so comments about the suit are welcome. In case you didn't catch the bunch above, here it is again to catch your eyes you Deviants who just fave, you know who you are.
Maru belongs to me, Tsunami belongs to , Road Rovers in general belongs to Warner Brother Studios.

Oh wow; a Tora-Tosa crossbreed, eh? Interesting combination - I only knew of those two species beforehand, predominantly because of Okami.
Nice work all the same - solid effort on the arms, which I myself have trouble pulling off convincingly. Please keep up the great work.

Thanks, I was using an old dog-breed encyclopedia (very old as I can't seem to find the breed "Bull-Boxer" anywhere that matches what was in the book) while I was making these characters and decided to use the two fighting breed from Japan as one super loyal super ninja dog.
Thanks, my real concern (as top of the top 3 things I worried about this picture) were the hand positions on their swords. But still, I wanted the arms to be the right length, as well the swords, so they don't be all stumpy or be like Stretch Armstrong, I still need to work on the full body pieces, like how to have their legs just right too and in the right position for action poses. Thanks for the support, and I will keep the up the work, I am going to break my monthly deviant record by making 4 more pictures before the month is over!

Wow. Awesome, dude. Well done on the colors and everything. The background could use some work. But it's not bad overall. I'm favoriting this.

I love it. I think it looks very ninja-esque with the dark colors and the criss-cross texture. I should try giving this a shot.
