Full-view, plz. As in, really.[edit] Well. So. In all fairness, having watched most of the cut-scenes with Vexen now, I shall admit it's not as bad as I first feared. The rubber-face is still... odd, and half the time his voice is horrid, but when pissed enough he sounds quite alright... And his 3D rendered self is downright gorgeous. Oh, so gorgeous...

That's supposed to be Nomura, there. And a random panel of Square-Enix decision-makers. And all the newly 3D-rendered CoM characters. Oh, and all my heartfelt cynicism and bitterness.
Inspired, of course, by the trailer for KHIIFM & Re:CoM ... Which was very, very pretty indeed. All sparkly and shiny and the voices kicked ass and... ... wtf?
Right. But I'm not bitter. X3
This is therapy. I still hope Vexen will get to have more dignity in the actual game, because man... what we saw in the trailer was not the Vexen I've grown to cherish and love.
I'm going through a lot of trouble to import your game and give you my money, Square - don't disappoint me now. Hell hath no fury like a fangirl scorned. u.u

Well, apparently from what we've seen in the preview, Tetsuya designed Vexen to be akin to Hojo (although a lot less insane in comparison). I don't know; when I was playing the original CoM, I had imagined Hojo's voice coming out of Vexen because they're both evil scientists and the like. Guess Square slapped that stereotype on me with FFVII.

Having played through Re:CoM, I can thankfully say he's not quite as twitchy all the time... But enough to make it annoying. And I just can't stand that voice, it sounds horrible.
I liked him best in the Japanese version of the original CoM. His sprites look aloof and collected, and his voice is perfectly fine from what you can hear in the battles. Since then... things just went downhill. And we are not amused. -_-

Yeah.
You get used to it (meaning it stops grinding your ear drums after three seconds), but I still hate it. Hojo voice+Vexen=No.
His eyes, however... -stares into them more- Such beautiful eyes...

I don't really agree - in some scenes you easily get used to it - most of the basement-scenes with Zexion and Lexaeus, or when he's talking to Marluxia for example. But every time he talks to the heroes/Replica/Axel or Larxene he sounds horrible. Not to mention the battles. You're reluctant to hit him because he sounds so horrible... DX
But oh, well. It could have been worse, I guess. Maybe. :/

When I saw him create that gigantic sword of ice I was like "OMG WTF!!!"
Then that's when Sora get slammed and I started laughing. XD
