Full-view, plz. As in, really.[edit] Well. So. In all fairness, having watched most of the cut-scenes with Vexen now, I shall admit it's not as bad as I first feared. The rubber-face is still... odd, and half the time his voice is horrid, but when pissed enough he sounds quite alright... And his 3D rendered self is downright gorgeous. Oh, so gorgeous...

That's supposed to be Nomura, there. And a random panel of Square-Enix decision-makers. And all the newly 3D-rendered CoM characters. Oh, and all my heartfelt cynicism and bitterness.
Inspired, of course, by the trailer for KHIIFM & Re:CoM ... Which was very, very pretty indeed. All sparkly and shiny and the voices kicked ass and... ... wtf?
Right. But I'm not bitter. X3
This is therapy. I still hope Vexen will get to have more dignity in the actual game, because man... what we saw in the trailer was not the Vexen I've grown to cherish and love.
I'm going through a lot of trouble to import your game and give you my money, Square - don't disappoint me now. Hell hath no fury like a fangirl scorned. u.u

Depends on where you're looking - over at Y!Gallery, Vexen seems to have become one of the most popular characters from the Organization.
Either way, he is a really great character and deserves more love. u.u

And it's not just the one scene. Most of his cut-scenes are like that. I don't understand why they had to go and ruin such a good character. It's not 'amusing', it's just a tired clichΓ© done badly. ;_;

I don't know, Vexen was supposed to be the crazy mad scientist of the crew, so the facial expressions and voice actually do fit his character type...

I've got 10 of them down as of today. Their data-version are quite tricky. ^_^;
No, see, that's the thing. He wasn't all cracky in the original game - rather he was all cold and analytical and bitchy. The twitchy-eyes and weird voice are new additions for the remake, and it rather disappoints me that they felt the need to change a great character to get a few laughs. :/

To me, he was kind of bland in CoM, and maybe the way he acts in Re:CoM was how they wanted him all along, it's just they couldn't pull it of in a 2D game with his sprite.
I just know when I watched the fight from Final Mix +, I was slightly surprised to hear Vexen yelling out like that when he was hit at first.

*shrug* I wouldn't call it bland - the more withdrawn nature seemed to suit a scientist more than the whole demented near-parody of a clichΓ©. But that's me.
And honestly... The twitching is bad enough, but getting a 70-year old to voice act him? No, no I just can't see the sense of that at all. He's not that old. -_-

My problem is mostly that his personality changed so much between CoM and Re:CoM. He started out cool and collected, albeit somewhat high-strung - and these days he's been transformed into the token twitchy mad scientist. Which saddens me. :/

Sounds like it; I haven't gotten further then battling Capt. Hook in Neverland in CoM on the GBA and I haven't played it due to my friend borrowing it...that's kinda strange how they changed his personality

I know; Axel looks so interesting as he is in the vers. for PS2 and I swear to you, that Rememberance clipage of Axel and Roxas on the Twilight Town ClockTower; their very dialogue gives the AkuRoku Fangirl Community even more evidence to prove that they are more then just friends....I mean, COME ON TETSUYA NOMURA!! Wow, this is really awsome. I also noiticed how they had made Vexen all wierd in the eye department in the game, though as you said not as bad at most parts, but still odd.
Also, I would like to point out Zexion's expression and how is like saying in his head 'Yes, I know I rock.' Or something along those line (lol) , and just love it, just love it.
