My 100th Deviation!!

This is a special one... This character was made for a steampunk novel my cousin and I began writing... but we never finished it lol. Maybe some day? Anyway, Udo is a werepanther, and the cat by his side is his other form. Can you tell midnight blue is one of my favorite colors?

BTW, please do not use this character without my permission (as in, ask before posting anything with him, though I'll probably say yes anyway lol). Since he may eventually find his way into a finished novel (I hope!), even if not the one my cousin and I started.

Udo Bastian

27 years old

A werepanther by birth, Udo was raised by his clan until the age of 12. On a dare, he stole a clan heirloom. He managed to keep his guilt hidden for almost a year before he was found out. Now on the run, he still hasn't figured out what the item does, if anything, or its importance to the clan.

Somewhat quiet around others, becomes very talkative once he gets to know someone. Although independent, he enjoys the company of traveling companions. Polite and gentlemanly, he is proof that chivalry has not yet died in this era.

By far one of the most promising young werepanthers, Udo has no issue dealing with the bounty hunters or members of his own clan, who attack him in search for the relic he holds. Udo prefers fighting in his other form, but when unable to for some reason or other, he is quite deft with the knife. Extremely quick and agile, he can run circles around others and take them out before they even realize they were not alone.

Around standard height, he is quite muscled from spending large amounts of time in his panther form. Can go for days without eating while a panther, and prefers raw meat in either form. Although Udo regularly spends large amounts of time in animal form, he never stays for longer than five days. Even for him, that length of time makes it difficult to turn back, and near impossible to turn off the animal instincts.

Can change at will, and sometimes without choice. Though he has a very calm personality, if he becomes riled, the anger can cause him to turn. He is unable to turn back until the anger has abated. Several members of his clan have changed due to fury, stayed too long, and have become unable to ever change back. This is an ever present danger for all Weres.

The earring he wears was a gift from a wizard he saved. Not long after becoming a fugitive, Udo stumbled across a werebear who was hunting the magic user. Abruptly changing, Udo fought and defeated the werebear, saving the wizard. Unfortunately, in doing so, he destroyed the clothes he was wearing. The wizard, grateful for his life, be-spelled an earring. This earring, while worn by a Were, will allow clothing worn to change along with the being. Changing back restores the clothing. Hence why Udo can change without having to go shopping for a new outfit each time. The earring itself does not change, nor does his key necklace. The metal brace on his right wrist doesn't change either, due to some effect carried by the clan relic stored within.

His full name would include his clan name (as a midname), but after becoming a fugitive, he dropped that name along with any affiliation with his birth clan.

Much like a vampire, Udo has night vision, although this does not cause sensitivity to bright light, due to his slit pupils. Has superior strength, agility, and speed, as well as swift healing. While in panther form, magic spells have little to no effect, and simply glance off his fur. Has no obvious weaknesses as of yet.

Enjoys reading, hunting, and researching the relic he stole so many years ago.
