Beautiful picture taken by Thanks a lot for taking your last pictures for me!I wanted to cosplay some Soul Eater since I began the anime. What a good shonen! I'll probably do Death Scythe, and maybe Soul in his suit... There are good cosplayers here who will do some characters like Black Star, Maka and Kid, so I'm sure I'll get beautiful pictures this summer!^^
But for now, Crona! I thought it would be simple, but I had a lot of unexpected problems, so it took longer than I thought...
But unexpectedly again, it was really fun and easy to do Ragnarok. Since I'm no good with props, I didn't want to do the sword version, and chibi Raggy is so cute... XD

Well, it's cool for me when I want to do male characters, but for females, I'm too tall for cute girls, and too "flat" for tall stylish girls. But... everything can be arranged!XD
And yeah, I made chibi Ragnarok all by myself. It was fun doing him, more than most plushies I have done before!^^

Ah yes. The tallness is an issue for me too .___. And the unwilling hair. I'm just not designed for cosplaying. Last time I went to a convention, instead of cosplaying, I just dressed up as a Victorian... cos I'm lame xD
Plushies have been known to be fun to make, but in my experience only without a sewing machine. One day I hope to make something from some sort of series. I'm not quite advanced enough yet

Well, for the hair problem: wigs. Since I have curly hair, it's almost impossible to style like an anime character, so... wigs is the best solution.
And for plushies... it depends what kind of plushie. A human doll, with clothes and all, can be very long and difficult. But a creature like Ragnarok is very much easier and fun!^^

The closest I've ever found is Light from Death Note (though my hair is too long now). I was going to cosplay as him for the one I went as a Victorian to, but my friend insisted on being him... despite being blonde... with shoulder length hair... and not bothering with a wig o_O
I was going along the route of Shi-ma-kai... not entirely sure why...

I have also seen some... shocking DN cosplays, but I would have been a damn good Light ;D My friend (and her corresponding L) had a contest with me to see who could be asked for the most photos.

Well, I think being in North America (Australia too) MEANS being of multiple origins. After all, we almost all came from a lot of countries, European, African and so on. But why bothering with percentages, and all that? Unless there is an interesting story about your parents and grandparents... XD
Awn, come on, wapanese notion was created by jerks on 4chan who wanted to complain about their little sisters (around 12 to 15) who spend their time watching Naruto and being too much in it, saying they want to be japanese without knowing anything really about Japan. A wapanese wouldn't even know "si" is pronounced" "shi" in japanese.
Agito/Akito is shota fanservice, whatever his age. Seeing the number of fangirls he had, he HAS to be fanservice! XD (And for fanservice in Soul Eater: in the manga, there are plenty of panties shots for Maka. It troubles me. It's like Hermione doing panties shots. I just don't want that.)
And the OST for Soul Eater is really good, in general! It reminds me of Gurren Lagann's OST, in just a bit less epic.

I didn't bother with the manga apart from the random chapter that inspired me to watch it. Hearing about those panty shots makes me glad they avoided it in the anime; she really isn't that sort of character!

I actually bothered to import the GL soundtrack from the US. I haven't tried looking for the Soul Eater one yet, though from what I listened to during the anime, it does sound good. But I like most OST to animes I watch. Even from Ouran High School Host Club, which is mostly chamber orchestra music

Well, the panties shot are only in the action scenes, because, well, she has a very short skirt so it's almost normal to see some panties. It's not something about the type of character, just the laws of physics. But... the anime is better without them!
(But Gurren Lagann IS epic!)
And for OSTs, I love them very much too, for animes and movies too, as long as it fits! When I get the CDs, tho, it's when I know it can be good without all the context of the anime/movie around. Of a funny thing to get is character's songs! It can be so funny... XD

It gives an idea about material things, but what about origins of people? It's so wierd when you can't really quantify your genes...
I guess there are different laws of physics for each parts of the body in anime... hair knows no gravity, boobies can bounce infinitely, short skirts can hide everything and long ones can show everything depending of the show... XD

It's hard to buy if you're not in Japan, but you can always download them... it's generally not licenced out of Japan, so since it's not distributed in any other way. Some can be very funny!

Haha, it happens to me sometimes... like when I dl an OST and listen to it when I haven't finished the anime, so there are songs I haven't heard... and when they are in the series, I recognize them... but don't remember what happens in the anime!

It really does throw you off what's actually happening, doesn't it?! I've found two voice actors who are in three of the series that I've watched (both including Soul Eater) and all I could do was flail about it whenever they were on-screen! D:
Hmm, that's where I came across my random chapter. But that magazine is near enough impossible to find and was off a discount stall so it was probably fairly old ... which makes even less sense o_O
Suppose it doesn't really matter! I've finished the anime so I won't bother reading the manga. 51 episodes was enough x_X

The thing that throw me off the most is when I find out that a voice actor has done a voice that doesn't match the others. (I was traumatized when I saw that the voice actor for Tamaki in Ouran and Light in Death Note (still fits) did Atori in Noein. Like, he's usually doing bishonen voices, and in that series he's doing... a half-monster half-so-gay character?)
It cannot be that old, a year at most... but well, I don't have the money for the mangas, so I won't bother too!

You sure that's the same guy (who also did Death the Kid which amused me xD)? I checked on Wikipedia since my Noein boxset is with a friend and it didn't agree with that D: However, if I believe Wiki then Atori was played by another voice actor I love: Hikaru from Ouran and Lavi from D.Gray-Man

Well, most of Gundam series are in the same universe (for 30 years now!), but there are a few that are in a separate universe, which makes it easier for newcomers like me to watch and understand. Like Gundam 00, that I enjoyed a lot because of Yun Kouga's chara designs, voice actors (Tieria's voice actor is my favorite of all) and good was/politics/space/mecha story...
Hehe, I own Noein too, I found it for 35$ in a store! So cheap! I could not let it go. And who cares about the quantum theories, you just need a girl with a necklace to correct everything anyway... XD I love that show.

I don't think ANN can be wrong. But well, there are versatile voice actors! I am still in shock that Misaki's in Junjou Romantica... also does Cloud in Final Fantasy. It just doesn't seem right. Now we know all of Cloud's sexy sounds! XD
Gundam 00 is two seasons of 25 episodes, it's worth watching, and not too long. There's an upcoming movie too, I can't wait for that!^^ And the new animes for spring are just out, and because of the end of school I don't have the time... T_T

What I usually do is dl the torrent directly from the fansubber's website. This way I'm sure there is only what I want, and it's faster!^^ Or for anything else, I go on Mininova, this site can be trusted, and people comment about the torrents more than on other sites.
