I made this dress in a long 14 hours day this spring. I love it dearly. I wanted to make her for a long time, but I struggled with finding a good fabric, most people do her in plain red, while her color is an iridescent mix of orange and red that reminds of butterflies (which is a theme for her, as butterflies reincarnate in japanese folklore and she does so all the time) so I really wanted to find a fabric that went with this image and I finally found it! For the rest, I used all of the black lace I had at home and some black leftover fabric. Oh and lots of ribbons. XD
