I know exactly what you guys have been thinking for a while now... "What about the cooonnnnnteeeeeeest?", "What about the contest Jooooooooooooooooooe?!", "Jo-ey! What a-boot the cone-test, eh?"Well, truth be told, I've had the winner selected for... AT LEAST three weeks now... maybe even less than that; but the reason I haven't publically announced anything yet was because my friend isn't finished coloring/engraving the award (he's probably swamped with work and life, the big lug)... as you can see, that awkward empty space in Narf's and Eleanor's hands is where I was going to import, transform, etc the award for the "ceremony" pic, then I was going to upload the actual award itself as a separate deviation as well. As soon as Davo finishes the award, I'll edit this deviation with a new one showing the award being presented.
ANYSHOE, CONGRATULATIONS FOR MAKING ME LAUGH MY BIG, FAT BUTTOX OFF WITH YOUR PIECE FOR THE SIMANETTE FAN CONTEST!!!

And you can see now why I asked everyone entering to remind me who their favorite Chipmunk and Chipette is; that way, in this case, if the winner was a dude, his favorite Chipmunk would make the announcement, while his favorite Chipette would present him with the award (and a kiss on the cheek). Vice-versa if the winner was a chick.
Again, congrats Narf, thanks for the laugh, and thanks for entering!
Oh... and I'm actually NOT exaggerating this time... that's actually EXACTLY how I look in a suit... and I only have one... I obviously don't like suits... I'm more of a "casual male" myself, lol... but hey, this was a pseudo-formal occasion, I even shaved!

Well, Theo always was the hardest to draw for some reason... BUT I THINK I've discovered a little secret... he seems easier to draw if I use the character designs of the last two seasons animated by Ruby-Spears is a model, instead of trying to use The Chipmunk Adventure or the DiC episodes.

All of them seemed to be drawn better those seasons, but then again, that was around the time of The Chipmunk Adventure, so I guess the animators and artists tried hard to improve the character designs before Ross and Janice switched to DiC. (Heck, even Brittany looked really cute those seasons, lol).
Overall, although it took a while to get the characters to look right, after watching DVDs, I think the Ruby-Spears episodes had better overall animation and background quality... the DiC episodes seem a bit more simplistic (also noticing the lack of voice actors those episodes, something tells me the movie finacially drained them).

In a way, it's almost kind of amusing watch the DiC episodes, and hearing Ross's voice come out of every other secondary character (like both the villain and the jewelry store owner in "Alvey's Angels").

It's funny how I'm able to draw their profiles so well, without even having to resort to anything for reference! That um... piece with Brittany and Jeanette in bed was completely freehand.

Lol, like I said in the description, that's where I was going to import the completed award into the pic, so it would look like Ellie is presenting it to him.
My friend isn't finished with it yet, but I thought people were probably tired of waiting for an official "ceremony", so I just bit the bullet and went ahead, lol.
It'll be edited to include the award when I get it, then I'm going to submit the award itself as a separate deviation so Narf can really enjoy it.
