Description
This was a commission at first, but now it's just a random scarred blood elf from World of Warcraft. I don't enjoy drama, but i liked painting this
Just to make it clear : when commissioned i do my best to comply with the client's wishes, i'm always thrilled to please people with my art. So long as you stay polite and nice i'm usually open to any suggestion and change on the commission if something is wrong with it.
I'm a patient person, but i won't stand being insulted and treated badly even though i did everything i was asked and stayed nice. Today i had my first bad client, and blocked my first person on deviantart. I sincerely hope this never happens again...

It's unfair that someone would waste your time and skill, refuse to pay, and then demand that you not display the art you created.
If the art was so off-base that you refused to purchase it, logistically, it must look nothing like the character you wanted. Β The artist has sole rights. Β You are ridiculously disrespectful and rude. Β I understand the art not being precisely what you wanted, but your reaction is cruel.

I paid for it and therefore it belongs to me. Copyright belongs to me as it's my OC and I'm not happy with the results. You shouldn't call me rude when I asked for a refund cus she didn't let me know anything and then she offered said refund and I accepted. Then she refused and just went on with the image and then posted this crap which is editing my oc. He belongs to me. Therefore I reported her for shunning the rules.

He did pay, although only because i always ask payment before starting drawing, and as he asked for a refund afterwards (that i did not give), i'm fairly sure he would not have paid me if he had a choice in the end.
If he had behaved nicely and politely, given a real reason of why he didn't like the artwork although he loved the preliminary sketch that looks just like this, i would probably have agreed on not publishing it, or reworking it so it would suit both of our tastes. I respect my clients and their characters, as long as they respect me and my art. Now, since he was such a pain, i decided to indeed rework a few details, but only to what i like, because the image is as you said, mine. This is not his character anymore, since he did not want me to publish it.

By commissioning this person, you gave her the authorization to work with your character.
Since you also agreed to the preliminary sketch, you gave a second consent.
And she has the right to display your commission on her profile, while crediting you of course.
If you want her to remove it, please be more civil about it please.
