A while back, I was doing pictures like this: simmeh.deviantart.com/art/Just…I had already saved this a while back (I somehow forgot to submit it), but I edited it just now with some effects and whatnot and added a room to go along with it.
Sven is licking Hans and Kristoff finds it funny.

I have to say I was disappointed that Disney fell to the tired villainous plot trope when the rest of the movie was such a breath of fresh air. Disney finally seemed to have moved on from the helpless princess who falls in love with Prince Charming at first sight. But then they add Hans as the villain. I mean, I get it. They didn't want the audience to see Elsa as the villain (though they were toying with that idea in the making of the movie.) Elsa made a much better misunderstood and tragic heroine though, and she was so strong and fiercely independent for a Disney Princess. I totally could have accepted it if Hans turned out to be the biggest asshole in the world. He's a prince. It's sort of a royal's deal to be a jerk. Look at Queen Victoria's catch phrase 'we are not amused.'
But then he turned out to be the douchiest villain I've seen since Syndrome from The Incredibles, with his monologue about how pathetic Anna was, and how Elsa would have been the preferable match, and how he would have planned a little 'accident' for both Anna and Elsa. I really had hoped for better from them. Over all it's an amazing movie, though.

It made me laugh when I found out Hans was a villain. I actually liked him even more than before after that (not that I would ever like anyone like that in real life) but I really like him, but I agree with you that they could've done better with him.

Yeah. Hans was a memorable villain, but his dastardly plot was so especially dastardly that I think it might have actually frightened some of the younger members of the audience. I mean, smirking at Anna with that evil grin and then dousing the fire that she needed to stay warm, then going off on his seemingly totally prepared speech about how stupid Anna was and how he planned to kill them all along. It just became such a trite and even boring villain cliche.

Hans actually had a masterful plan. Unfortunately, he was foiled by the stereotypical "and I would have gotten away with it if it weren't for you meddling sisters.'
