It looked to me as though Kristoff had considerably more heft than Hans.  Unless Hans is light enough on his feet to keep the blows from landing, Kristoff is gonna deck him.  But who knows.

Because Anna was friendly, outgoing, and wanted to befriend everyone she met.  Elsa wanted everyone to stay as far away as possible.

Outgoing people aren't always the best partners. Anna seem to be the only one who ever cared through the whole movie (olaf doesn't count) and after all Elsa is the queen. And since Elsa wanted everyone to stay away, Anna probably weren't spending time with her either. But when she finally comes out, Anna seems more interested than anyone else, even if they never built that snowman. And as Anna said, she is beautiful, so why would nobody ran after her or at least talk to her, nobody did that. Except for Anna. This is also why I ship them, the fact that Elsa still would sit in the Ice castle, if Anna never had showed interest, it would have destroyed the plot and wouldn't end like a fairy tale. But couldn't anyone have done that? If just they talked to Elsa and understood the situation she was in. Too bad the only person I would dare ship her with is her sister, or should I rater say too good? I don't even know anymore. Just because Elsa is shy, it doesn't make her less attractive.

Considering that I'm not particularly outgoing myself, I certainly hope that outgoing people aren't always the best partners.  Nevertheless, it's easier for most people - even an introvert such as myself - to feel relaxed around and attracted to someone who is being friendly and who seems to want to get to know me as opposed to someone who is doing absolutely everything she can without being actively rude to get me and everyone else to stay as far away from her as possible.  Even the most confident people usually need a little encouragement to pursue someone for any length of time.  I'm sure that people made gestures towards Elsa, but when she spurned all those gestures, those people looked elsewhere: such as the Duke of Weselton asking Elsa to dance and then dancing with Anna only because Elsa wouldn't.  There were probably others who asked.  Hans might even have been one of them.

Remember, it would have been known by everyone attending the ball that Elsa had kept her castle virtually closed off from the rest of the world and with the minimum staff needed to live there, and did that for YEARS.  By the time people got to the ball, they would have already been aware of her reputation as a recluse.  That wouldn't have encouraged anyone to make advances either.

Just because Elsa had trouble relating to people and only Anna still cared about her because of their childhood bond is no reason to ship them.  Anna can love Elsa very deeply and sincerely as a sister without there being a romantic or sexual component.  It seems to me that people are trying to justify their own personal fetish with any excuse they can grapple onto, no matter how weak.  And NO, there is nothing good about shipping her with her sister that I can think of.
