Description
Just as a placeholder before I get a normal picture of myself.Kind of creepy seeing your own brain like that.
They sent me inside one of those fMRI scans while doing some experiments. It was fun, and I got a model of my brain

An experiment yes, well they measured the development of brain-volume over the course of six months, with regard to different academic programs. As well as changes in cognitive abilities.
Well the brain can be nasty sometimes The other day my brain blocked my right field of vision for like twenty minutes! That was creepy.
But I hope you're not suffering from something horrible at least.

I read the stuff on your ID about reading psychology or stuff, and might I suggest, I think you would be interested in cognitive science.

Then Cognitive science is the thing for you To sound very commercialish
Don't know if you know about it but it's about psychology and neuroscience and such, from perception to experience.

Haha That's me, lookin' intelligent
I like Sweden, as a student you get support to live and buy study material. So it's easy to get educated.
Now in summer life's slow and nice however in winter we usually suffer from polarbear invasion, life gets a bit more hectic then.

No, no bears, just a "regular" joke about Sweden
I see, I think that's harsch to pay so much for education.
You can add sjubblehubb@hotmail.com , though I don't use msn so often but I'm online now.

I recognize that in many ways.
Then I usually run around in tights playing ukulele and singing...
In lack of a better way of handling it at that moment.

Haha
At least it helps me figure things out, or like a midnight stroll ( sounds just a little more sane) like last time
( but then again, who am I to say what's sane, and insane, when I don't know which one I am, or which one I'd prefer )
... Well I'm not that crazy, I'd like to call it, vivid mind
Sorry for rambling...

Rambling is fine haha. Gives me something to read. I'd take rambling over one word answers ANY day
Yeah, midnight stroll sounds much more sane. But who really knows the line between sane and insane?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Simolius In reply to RukiByou [2010-07-12 21:56:34 +0000 UTC]
Good, I think rambling makes the most fun conversations
All kinds of funny things may pop up anywhere, and hopefully gets you something to think about ( I like thinking actually)
Like this sanity-issue.
Sanity is a funky concept, but I think what defines it is the way of experiencing the world as what the world says it to be, rather than involving own interpretations and questioning that experience.
You have any ideas?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
RukiByou In reply to Simolius [2010-07-12 22:02:01 +0000 UTC]
Hmm, sanity. I don't think anybody really knows what it is. Like, how to label it. It's one of those things that's invisible and cannot be described. Someone may act differently from someone else, but I don't think that classifies them as insane.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Simolius In reply to RukiByou [2010-07-12 22:08:19 +0000 UTC]
Agreed. But I was thinking, can oneself label oneself as insane? Would that be an accurate use of the word, or would the meaning of the word simply become the description of oneselfs personality?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
RukiByou In reply to Simolius [2010-07-12 22:10:13 +0000 UTC]
I think that a person labeling themselves as insane either want to be, or are misusing the word to call themselves adventurous. Crazy people don't know they're crazy

Simolius In reply to RukiByou [2010-07-12 22:19:16 +0000 UTC]
I we look it that way we've caught one part of beeing insane, lack of intra-spection, meaning the lack of seeing oneself at an objective view and evaluating.
I know what you mean, people often label themselves as something they want to be, perhaps in a way to fool themself that they are and then slowly becoming.
(Nice pictures! Makes me want to stroll )

Yes ! Exactly. Nice to see someone shares my opinions on all things sane and insane xD
(thank ya !*considers strolling myself*)

Simolius In reply to RukiByou [2010-07-12 22:49:24 +0000 UTC]
Well I can reccomend it!
Over here the best time for strolling is 3 AM, right after everyone went home from parties and all old people have yet to wake up and the whole world is empty. I just have to wait a couple of hours, then! Unless I fall asleep that is.

3am is a little dangerous where I live. There's lots of crime in my area so I try not to go out after dark >.< I should see if I can go for a walk before it rains

I see, too bad, but if you get to a safer place sometime I'd recommend it!
You should! It always feel hard to take a walk when it rains, but when you're out there I think it's quite nice.

I can see the dilemma...
Like when armadillos gonna eat some ants, it's their favourite food but when they put noses into the stack the ants start to bite them so they're hurt.

kittencharmer [2010-07-11 23:27:39 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, no kidding! Though when you get to thinking about it, if it's your brain, why not see it? Or, ought I say, your brain sees itself?

Meta-looking?
Why it's creepy is because I've read a couple of courses in neuroscience.
So I know which parts make me do stuff...
