The scenery fits perfectly and the style is so great and I am captivated by his tail and feet.
The lens flare was a really nice touch.

That's a beautiful rock formation - I love the detail and the little salamander (newt?) there. And I know he's not your guy, but I like the guy there. It's a well-done pose, and I like how you create such a tangible feel of fluffiness on the fur, specifically the tail.
In regards to the water, I'm rubbish with perspective, but does the horizon seem high to you?

Thanks! The rock formation and the tail were really fun to make, I guess it shows.
And thanks, it was a bit high. There definitely was something I didn't like about the water but I couldn't quite figure out what it was. I lowered it a bit and made the transition to the sky slightly smoother, it should look better now.
