This is for

The challenge was to redo a picture of your choosing, which in my case was this old thing right here , one of the first drawings I uploaded to deviantArt.
However, you also had to follow a bunch of specific "blocks":
■ A bright, saturated orange should be the predominant color
■ Change the dog into a mythical creature of your choosing
■ You can't use the colour brown
■ Set the picture at another time of day or night.
■ The sky must have more detail (possibilities include clouds, sun, etc.)
■ Must be from bird's perspective
■ You must use thick brushes in this artwork.

I think how I applied the majority of those should be obvious, but I'll elaborate on a few!
- For the mythical creature, I looked around on this site for creatures that matched both the "East Asian" & "Mountain Dweller" categories. I came across the Congcong , which apparently is a six-legged dog.
- The "bird's perspective" and "more detailed sky" blocks were kind of at odds with each other... I had to make a compromise here, but hey. It's the mountains, it's snowing - it's a low-flying bird's perspective, okay?
- Finally, the "thick brushes" block is what inspired me to make a digital painting outta this one.
