You might have used the wrong side of the paper, but this nonetheless turned out great. I have never used pastels so I can only offer a limited critique about working in this medium. I think the tones used here work very well together. I especially like the touch of pinks and reds on the cheeks and the nose. The only thing is that I find the contrast for the darker areas - the sweater, frame of the glasses and the back of the neck where the hair meets the nape - should be greater.
