Description
A painting done for one of my recent exhibitions. This is a painting of my beloved wild kangaroo friend, Belle. I took a photo of her whilst she was wild and got a DD for it (thank you ).
I loved doing this painting of her. It wasn't until I finished that I realised, I had 'humanised' her face! But I guess that's how she looks to me.
24 x 30 inches, acrylic on canvas.
UPDATE JAN 2010: This piece has sold.

Great work. While it keeps the feel of a painting, this could easily be mistaken for a photo! Very beautiful!

Another AMAZING piece! The eyes are astounding, I have previously only known you for your photography, but this, well, this is a very pleasant surprise, and I guess you answered my question about showing publicly lol, great work!

Thankies hun!
I've actually been thinking about that a lot lately. I tend to do a little bit of everything because I studied visual art at uni and got to play with lots of different mediums, and I have noticed that a lot of my artist friends who are successfully selling work, tend to do the same things over and over. They've found something that works and they stick with it. And I'm wondering if I'm like that saying "jack of all trades, expert at none", and if I should just stick with one thing... I do drawings, photography, photomanipulations, digital paintings, vector art, traditional paintings, jewelry (new to me), sculpture (from time to time), tapestry (and other textile work), graphic design and commercial work, and the list goes on... I want to learn more, but am wondering if I should just concentrate on improving skills of one thing only?
What do you think?

Well, I def think you are really a very talented girl, and I honestly think your paintings are truly amazing, very skilled hands you have there..if I were you, I'd do it all, I think it is an attribute, not something that would make you weaker than any other artist. If you're just talented at many mediums, it's truly a gift, and one you should be very proud of! Keep up the great work!
