Description This is a macro photo of a Tall or Climbing Sundew flycatcher. I held a background card behind it for added colour. Lit by natural sunlight. This flycatcher was about 3 - 5mm across, and very tiny.

This was a DD in 2009, given by but when I left dA and deleted my images, the record of the DD went with it unfortunately.

Part of a series of macro Kangaroo Island wildflowers taken 2008-2009.

* Old image re-submitted.

That's so cool to hear! Stop though, when your eyes start to bleed, ok?

It's just a Canon Powershot S3 IS. Not spectacular, but a nice macro feature on it.

it looks perfect for MACRO. I use a Canon EOS350D digital SLR, but it would be great to have a seperate camera for the up close and personal instead of buying another lens that I have to swap out.

Yep, it's a perfect camera for that. I think the newer model is the S5 IS. They're only about $500- $800 depending on where you are, and that's probably not too different than the price of a good macro lens. I want to get a Canon EOS 500D or 50D and think I'd like to keep the Powershot for macro as well. It has a nice swivel screen, that makes it awesome for bending down and taking photos without having to look through the viewfinder or a static LCD live view screen.

Hugs!

I'll never forget this image. It's a truly remarkable image the way you photographed this Sundew, which in real life is micro-teeny-tiny.
