Description
Hiya againim swingin wildly between wanting to create pattern - based pieces and wanting to fill in more of my world project.
Drawn entirely in felt tip pens. took over 60 hours to complete. size A4.
symbollising the imperfections in the grand geometry of the world, and the fractal nature of all things...
fractal nature means that everything leaves imprints of itself upon the surrounding area, thus leaving it changed, looking more like the thing instigating the change. anyone that has seen raw fractals will kinda get what im getting at.
having deeply studied quantum physics and esotericism, i have found there to be a balance between order and chaos that errs on randomized construction. everything is based on a single design, and then randomly mutates to create everything from planets to suns, black holes to people.
through meditation i see the mandala.
you can too, if only you would dare to attempt to quiet your rushing mind.
i feel this piece should speak for itself, yet so many of you will just say "wow, nice pattern."

Ordered Chaos. The underlying truth to existence. This is beautiful, my friend.

not many can see the concentric circles within life;
the few that do are a blessed bunch indeed...Terrence McKenna only takes a man so far.... to find the Fibonacci within us we must search for our own inner truth most people think that science is the only answer, and that the world of spirit is only imagination. for them I can only have pity.
I stopped hating them for it a long time ago, but I was born this way and could never have been "normal" like them.

thank you so much! are you into meditation at all?
a lot of my more surreal pieces are based upon things i have experienced within meditation.... my universe works are only about that and nothing else

I don't meditate in the traditional sense, I suppose. It's quite difficult to explain, lol
That's intriguing though!

Wonderful piece, and I am surprised that it only took 60 hours even on A4.
Quantum physics and esotericism eh...want to talk about pixielation lol....seriously though, I am undecided as to which of two meanings is the stronger for me.
My first thought was that the title could also be turned around to be 'Fractal Nature, or Chaos From Order' as seen in the Mandelbrot set etc. which is re-enforced by the tree ring/root pattern in the centre spreading outwards.
My second impression was a reminder of images I have seen of the encroaching patterns of logging on the rainforests, disrupting the natural flow of energy in the area.

thank you!
when i put my mind into a drawing, i kinda loose myself and it fills itself in through me. i feel pretty humbled by creating these things, its strange but i have learnt to appreciate the beauty in my own art, which is something i think a lot of people are missing these days...but i think thats because it flows from the higher conciousness, because it doesnt feel big headed. that probably sounds concieted anyways, but meh.
i like your explanation, and have already heard someone else interpret it in this way... to me, i simply draw, and the messages come through once its done. i draw pictures of dragons sometimes and they come out looking like an advert for green peace.
not what i aimed for, but pleasing all the same XD

I get like that when I am drawing, I have described it as channelling myself. It is especially strong when I am listening to music, it is almost like the music is flowing through me onto the paper. Maybe that is why I always thought of the sort of drawings I am doing at the moment as just doodles, because I didn't think about them or plan them out like they teach you in art school lol If there is a higher message it will take root in the minds which are ready to receive it

i think the act of drawing in itself could be described as having visions, or at least a kind of meditative practice.
because i dont own a tv, i listen to music almost all the time...
though the type of music varies greatly from day to day.
....
and art school-dont get me started on those horrible things.
the only thing i learnt while at art college was that i should never get my hopes up about getting employed as an artist;
my art style is apparently abbrasive to the eye, and my colour schemes are "painful" according to some of those so-called scholars,
and the elitist groups here on DA gave me the same reasons for turning me down.... apparently i have to change what i think art is to get notice!
so i dont wanna draw how they say i should, so what?
i guess its their problem, but they are stealing my opportunities by being that way. pompous assholes.
sorry, im digressing. the higher message in our art is the most important thing.
love and peace, from your brother from another mother

I listen to all different types of music too, from classical to acid house and everything in between
One of the things that got me about tutors was the fact that they found the ability to make geometric shapes mysterious and amazing!! Ok I impressed myself with the 3D box section cube, but it was all just applied maths...they hadn't a clue lol
Most of my working life has been bread and butter business art - logos, letterheads and web design, posters and flyers, that sort of stuff, but I have always 'done my own thing' outside of work and sold some pieces along the way....
....due to illness I cannot work, so I am able to do what I want and enjoy my art without any pressure, and hopefully as my health improves I will be at a stage where I can earn decent money again....higher message included
Happy Imbolc, may the light bless your path

so lucky.... i cant seem to create things that please the common people,
so flyers and adverts are apparently not my thing. i have tried and been sacked already XD
my problem is that i see it as "selling out" on some deep level, beyond my control.... i think everything should be allowed in the art world, and the modern worlds response to such things sickens me.
this fast food menu wanted to look "regal" and at the same time convey a feeling of being "cheap and cheerful"- absolutely ridiculous in its extremes-
now, i understood what they wanted, but found myself being very negative about their absolute "black and white" approach. it showed in the work i produced... dont get me wrong, i have created a fair few shop fronts and menus that made the owners very happy, but certain stipulations put upon my artistic hand will just freeze my creativity.
its like they say they want it this way or that way but then cant do it themselves that way, so ask me to pimp out my skills for their benefit.
im not sure if that comes across well or badly,
i guess you have a set of skills that are quite beyond me at this stage.
im lucky that my partner wants to become an electrician, leaving me to look after our daughter and spend more time creating and honing my artistic style maybe one day i will finally make some money from what i do
thank you, merry imbolc to you too my dear!
have a wonderful day, and hope your illness abates soon!

Most of my skills have been learned outside of a classroom...if you are hands on and practical, those skills are easily transferred to the world of artistic creativity. I have had to be very practical, and I am only really beginning to appreciate it all as I realise that I have more skills than you could ever learn in a classroom. I was debating going to uni to get my degree (at last!), but I am not sure if it would suit me or stunt me :S
ME doesn't go away in a hurry as they have no idea what causes it (I refuse to be pumped full of meds so they can experiment on me), but thank you for your good wishes. I know it helps

theres an old song that says "i learnt more from a 3 minute record than i ever learnt in school"
...
truer words could not be found on this little ball of rock.
the world is our classroom, though most never realize i love to know im still learning every day, even when im here on DA, im being inspired by all the other artists of the world....
a humbling experience for ANY true artist.
best wishes and hope your day is going well my friend!

Dare I say I like this one alot more then the black one with the metallic, its just so damn good for my brain. I zoned out on it for probably 20 minutes. I am right now working on some fractal work that should hopefully be the shining glory of my gallery, I am attempting to illustrate fifth dimentional objects that gnomes like to show you on salvia. Haha

MisterSali In reply to simonpark81 [2013-01-28 21:14:13 +0000 UTC]
Well the thing with other dimentional gnomes is that I am pretty sure they just take the form of a gnome because of my reaction to a gnome, they just seem nice and friendly and helpful, they tend to abandon you in awkward situations for the amusement of watching you try to get out of them on your own. Hahaha
It will take me a while to get finished it and I keep changing my mind how I want it to look colorwise, it has become quite the project.

im sure they can take whatever form they please, i have seen a fair few beings that defy explanation myself... you'll see from my note what i mean. i been thinking about drawing some of the creatures i have come across in this world too, but not sure how to draw them without making them look cartoony like everything else i do XD

i believe they are all around us most of the time, but most people just see an ordinary guy or woman.... those with sight see what is truly there.
i think most ancient cultures worshipped things that existed, otherwise why worship them? the nightcrawlers of southern america have been caught on camera now, as have the ur'uk-ai (goblins!!)
[link]
-this isnt the original footage, but shows the photo that is of importance. it annihilated the deer cam but left the memory card intact, not knowing that it would keep images stored...
[link]
and that ones from sewer systems here in the uk...

MisterSali In reply to simonpark81 [2013-02-11 03:02:40 +0000 UTC]
Ah yes, true sight indeed.
That first link the deer cam monster is a hoax unfortunatly, just some fancy artists photo manip of a deer, he actually came out and admitted it and showed how he did it. I remember watching it on T.V. but I cannot find a online link to the video of the original deer.
I have seen the second video from ATS a conspiracy website that I have been a part of for a long time, and I have to say that is some really creepy shit! I mean I would be tripping balls if I was controlling that little camera thingy.

i found the first one so believable because i have seen these goblins here in england.... the sewer footage backs it up.
also, i doubt whether the pic is faked no matter what the mainstream media says, as half the stuff they come out with and "show evidence for" is actually cod shit wrapped up nice to look like a pretty easter egg.
ATS...will have to remember that site name. im in a real hurry at mo so will answer the other messages later, have a great day my friend and keep your eyes peeled for random creepy stuffs

yes, i spent last year trawling google earth, searching out the true architecture of the "rest of the world" - the places that are not westernized and covered in bubblewrap and glass-
i love the far east and middle eastern philosophies and cultures, their building styles harken back to a time when they shared the same culture, it would seem
