Another monster game recipe concept. I think this is actually the first one I had the idea for.
This third stage monster is two parts Spiritual, one part Spooky, and one part Natural (II + NO).
Still batting around names for the monsters. Brideshroom? Matrimoldy? Betrowth? I could do this all day?
Oh what a shame the poor shroom bride is a spore

I'm getting a little bit of a PokΓ©mon vibe. The overall look vaguely reminds me of Mom of the Year and her jellyfish friend, and there might be shades of Lurantis, but those eyes are putting me in a Parasect frame of mind.
I'm not good with names, but my instinct would be to mash together theme-related words and some mycology jargon. Mycelace, maybe? Veilepiota? Sporomantic?Β
The counterpart would be much easier: Mushgroom.
It doesn't fit this creature but you can't not use the name Discomycetes for some kind of mushroom monster.Β

These are good names! I particularly like Sporomantic, but they're all winners.
Man, I wish that I could just make everyone a mushroom. A disco mushroom is sitting right there for me to use. Imagine.
