Tbh, I've found myself liking Asgore much more than Toriel. Is that bad? I mean, cause half of the UT fandom like Goat Mom and I'm just over here like "but, BUT, here me out...Goat Dad?"

Maaaaan I'm deep into Soriel hell and I'm still a big fan of Asgore. He's probably my second favorite after Papyrus. He's just too sweet! x3

That's why I like that side of the Soriel subfandom. I mean, I understand if people don't like him because he's "responsible for the deaths of all humans" (which may be partially true but it's not completely his doing, I think), but not because "he's getting in the way of Soriel". I seriously think he'd even give Sans some tips on how to court Tori or something like that. And you're right, papa goat is a cinnabun. He seems like a genuinely nice guy. The Dreemurrs all seem like nice people I'd love to be the neighbor of

Asgore's such a fascinating character. I like Toriel a lot, but Asgore's just so gentle and in such a bad position. I also think I'm extra defensive of him because people seem to really buy into Toriel's "you could've just left and gotten the souls" speech. Toriel is kind, but she also avoided facing the problem directly, just like Asgore did. If she really felt strongly about helping the children, she would've accompanied them to the exit herself. They're both equally at fault for the way things went, but I also think they're both deserving of forgiveness. They're both grieving and trying to do the best they can.

I really love drawing him with floppy fluffy ears too. :V

Yeah, it bothers me a lot when folks are overly harsh toward Asgore yet hold Toriel in such high regard, when she's just as flawed as he is. I still remember when it struck me just how hypocritical Toriel was being with her rant about Asgore's plan and how it kinda put her character in a different light for me. Not that I dislike her of course--it's just that it made me realize how flawed she is. As you said, they're both at fault but they both deserve forgiveness.
