You should read the MKX comics. It describes his childhood. And I think Kahn is just either a common name in Outworld or it means "King" not sure

Why u think that he is god of wind? His variations: Blood God, Sun God and something, but i read on NetherRealms twitter some url and they wrote God of War, so im really confused
